Dr. Yoni Appelbaum is a historian and journalist. Currently, he is Senior Editor for politics at The Atlantic. His academic work focused on the associative republicanism of the late 19th-century United States.Previously, Appelbaum was a columnist for the Atlantic. Before that, he taught at Harvard University, Babson College, and at Brandeis University.Appelbaum's first book, "How America Ends," was published in 2019.Appelbaum received his A.B. from Columbia University and his Ph.D. in History from Brandeis University.
