About This List

A list of my personal favourite graphic design related podcasts.
  1. Want to know what it takes to design logos and brand identities? In the Logo Geek podcast, award winning logo design expert Ian Paget finds out by interviewing successful graphic designers and entrepreneurs around the world so you can learn from their experiences. Topics include logo design tips, getting clients, how much to charge, coming up with ideas, choosing fonts, portfolio mistakes, branding, online marketing and so much more!
  2. Are you a designer struggling to find your way in the modern world? Learn how to make a dent in the creative universe with Tom Ross, Ian Barnard, Dustin Lee and Lisa Glanz. Each of your hosts have found tremendous success in their own creative fields. They’re here to give you a completely honest, under the hood look at what it takes to flourish in this crazy creative vocation! You’ll discover actionable tips to land more clients, find your style, successfully brand yourself, and ultimately find satisfaction in your work.
  3. Design is universal. We all live and work in the built world, and every object, system and environment in the built world has been designed. Clever is a podcast about design. Well, actually, it's about designers, too. Sure, they're visionaries, problem-solvers, critical thinkers, rebels and aesthetes, but above all, they're human. Designer Amy Devers has candid and revealing conversations with these super-smart people because, well, relating to the humans responsible for the objects and environments that shape our lives can result in a more meaningful connection to the world around us.
  4. America’s only daily morning talk show for creatives just like you. Exploring the reality of trying to live your creative dreams. Sometimes educational, sometimes off topic but always entertaining! New Episodes Monday-Friday!
  5. Creative Pep Talk helps you build a thriving creative practice! Each week, host Andy J. Pizza serves up monologues and interviews with creative powerhouses like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Abbi Jacobson and Morgan Harper Nichols that are chocked to the brim with creative performance hacks and fresh marketing tactics. Time to fill up your tank with a generous helping of PEP! Open up your ears and get that breakthrough perspective you need, the second you need it! Andy J. Pizza is an illustrator for the likes of The New York Times, The Washington Post, Google, YouTube and Nickelodeon. Andy J. Pizza - instagram.com/andyjpizza
  6. Design Matters with Debbie Millman is one of the world’s very first podcasts. Broadcasting independently for over 15 years, the show is about how incredibly creative people design the arc of their lives.
  7. Wouldn't it be nice if you could spend more time designing and less time worrying about your design business? Resourceful Designer offers tips, tricks and resources for freelancers in order to help streamline your graphic design and web design business so you can get back to what you do best… Designing! Let me know what topics you would like me to cover by emailing feedback@resourcefuldesigner.com
  8. If you're an artist, designer, illustrator or photographer, whether you freelance, have a side project or work for someone else, The Creative Boom Podcast is full of fun and honest conversations with creative people that will inspire. There'll be many laughs, a few tears but plenty of advice and insight to help you in your creative career. Hosted by Katy Cowan, founder and editor of Creative Boom, a magazine she launched in 2009 to celebrate, inspire and support the creative community.
  9. Obsessed Show host Josh Miles interviews some of the hottest designers—from branding and illustration, to industrial design and architecture, to learn what makes them tick.
  10. Design Life is a podcast about design and side projects for motivated creators. It was born after your hosts, two serial side project addicts, saw a gap in the podcast market for a conversational show about design and the issues young creatives face, that was hosted by two females. This show aims to tackle the big issues designers face like getting paid, overcoming a creative block or managing time, to name a few. We want to open up discussion about things we wish we heard people talk about when we were studying, and we want to chat to you about the joys and the frustrations of working in the tech industry by day, and on our passion projects in the rest of our waking hours. We hope that by doing so, Design Life will give you a dose of motivation or inspiration when you need it.
