God equips the called. Today, many people rely on human wisdom for everything. This was no different in the days of the Corinthian Church. Paul wanted the Corinthian church (and us) to understand that God uses the Gospel to shame those who think they're wise. God's ways are not our ways and through Jesus Christ, He crushes the pride of man.
