Hello everyone! And congratulations, we have officially made it to the second month of the year! This year, the peas thought that in order to honor and celebrate Black History Month, we would dedicate the month to watching and discussing Black films, and films directed by Black Directors. This week, we took on “Us” (2019) directed and written by none other than Jordan Peele. Both peas have only seen this film one time, so big SPOILER ALERT ahead! We recommend watching the film first and then listen to us gush about how much we love Lupita Nyong’o. The film broke all kinds of records in the box office, and all kinds of barriers. But the work still needs to be done! Listen on to find out why nothing good ever comes from whistling.
PS. Apologies for Natalia’s odd audio, the rain in LA came down a little too hard during recording and she had to relocate to the bathroom. Let us know what you think by leaving a review, and follow us on Instagram! (@two.peas.podcast).
