1:06

The way tire buying should be. First

1:09

round of the NFL Draft is in the books,

1:12

and the big shocker

1:14

for a lot of people out the soccer was

1:16

that the Atlanta Falcons take Michael Pennock

1:19

Junior at number eight overall,

1:22

and apparently Kirk Cousins and Kirk

1:24

Cousins agent were not happy

1:26

and not expecting that to be the decision

1:28

that they made with the first round pick.

1:31

They reportedly were told that quarterback

1:34

would be in consideration, but

1:36

they did not think that it would be in the first round.

1:39

But then the Atlanta Falcons do the deal

1:41

and they draft Michael Pennix Junior, and

1:43

it sent shockwaves through a lot of people

1:45

that were watching the draft covering the draft,

1:48

even you know, somebody like the Raiders

1:50

who probably thought, Okay, well, he's going to be sitting

1:52

there for us when we pick, and then he

1:54

was off the board. And I think Jay Glazer

1:57

made that point as well too, to where the

1:59

race and who maybe it

2:01

was. Denver assumed

2:03

that he would probably be there, and once he was

2:05

taken, it just kind of threw everybody for a loop.

2:08

And I don't know how many people actually he

2:10

would go ahead of J. J. McCarthy either.

2:14

Uh.

2:14

Oh.

2:15

What I loved about it was, and I

2:17

kind of said this throughout the process, is he

2:19

had to me this year the second best tape

2:22

of anyone I watched. You know, Jade Daniels

2:25

was number one, Pennix was two,

2:28

Caleb was three, JJ

2:30

honestly was four, and May was probably

2:32

five, you know, if you if you really want

2:34

to break it down, But

2:38

what you kept hearing was, oh, well, the medical,

2:41

all the injuries, and you weren't

2:43

sure how teams were going to look at a knee that's had

2:45

multiple ACL tears or shoulders that have

2:47

had multiple surgeries, right, And

2:50

you weren't sure how they were going to view guys who

2:52

were older, right, I mean, Michael Penix was

2:54

in college football for six years, bo Nick

2:56

six years.

2:58

There's still some guys who are in this draft class that have been

3:00

six years.

3:00

Jane Daniels was what five, So you

3:02

never know how they were gonna view a

3:05

class that you know, had had some

3:07

older guys who took advantage of a COVID year in extra

3:09

years, if that would be a knock or

3:11

not. I mean the one thing that you

3:13

when you look at the Kirk Cousins

3:16

contract and the

3:18

age of Michael Pennix, is if Kirk

3:20

Cousins plays out his contract, Michael

3:23

Pennox will be twenty eight.

3:26

He's twenty four years.

3:27

Old, so even then, like he might

3:30

not in a perfect world. In the as

3:33

Raheem Morris had said if they go to the Green Bay

3:35

route, he might not play

3:37

until he's twenty six years old, twenty

3:40

seven years old, which is

3:42

not like crazy, right, I mean, Brandon Whedon

3:44

got drafted after playing professional baseball and

3:46

then at Oklahoma State at twenty eight

3:48

years old.

3:49

Chris Wink Chris Wig was thirty

3:52

thirty.

3:52

He was thirty, so it's

3:55

not it's not unheard

3:57

of.

3:58

But like you just get

4:01

to that concern about I guess

4:03

their age and injuries even sooner, and he's.

4:05

Already got those injury concerns.

4:07

The question I was going to ask you guys was this though

4:09

earlier, when you

4:11

look at, for example, the

4:13

Atlanta Falcons taking Michael Pennix,

4:15

which I think we'd all agree, like they've got Cousins,

4:18

maybe you could make the case, you know, not only for depth

4:21

as a backup, but also for the future, it

4:23

made sense, but there's other spots

4:25

they probably could addressed, right, I think we don't agree

4:27

on that.

4:27

Yes, Well, meanwhile.

4:28

You got the Giants who are sitting there

4:30

at six, and they had

4:33

a completely different thought process because

4:35

yes, they go with Malik Neighbors, who I think is a

4:37

big time going to be a big time playmaker.

4:40

But now you're locked into Daniel Jones basically

4:42

being the guy.

4:44

And so what's crazy to me is like,

4:46

when you look at that pick now in retrospect,

4:49

do you not say, like, maybe the

4:51

Giants should have been thinking like the

4:53

Falcons.

4:53

Were, because

4:56

was, well, the Giants were

4:59

if you believe the reporting that's out there, which

5:01

you know, take it for what it's worth, but that Drake

5:03

May was the guy that they were targeting, and they tried

5:05

to move up, So Miley thought would have been

5:08

maybe they liked him so much more than everybody

5:10

else that they thought, if he's not there, we'll just take the

5:12

best player on our board, and they want with Neighbors.

5:15

But well, it's great, but who's starting the football now?

5:17

That's I mean, they have

5:19

to believe that Daniel Jones is the answer

5:21

this year. So it looks like you're

5:24

not going to get a quarterback at this point

5:27

and say that that's going to be the guy that's going

5:29

to beat Daniel Jones out.

5:33

I mean, you keep saying that making that

5:35

sound jon Us, but no one knows what the hell that means.

5:37

Spencer Rattler, come on, I know they

5:39

need to watch. It's

5:42

a rattlesnake.

5:43

Do the snake again? Does

5:47

that sound like a rattlesnake to LeVar? No, not

5:49

at all.

5:50

What does it sound like, Lorena?

5:53

Do you have a rattlesnake? Probably don't know.

5:56

You want to have a rattlesnake off, all out rattle

5:58

anybody here on the show?

6:00

You guys want to go that route?

6:01

You got all right, LaVar, let me see your

6:03

snake. Come on, give it to me. I

6:05

can't do the snake, man, I just

6:07

can't. I'm sorry, I

6:10

just can't.

6:13

Come on. You live up in the mountains.

6:14

You don't have rattlesnakes up there. You got grizzly bears

6:16

for Christ's sake.

6:18

Yeah.

6:18

Well, listen, somebody was

6:20

not happy with the decision of

6:23

the We do have a rattlesnake.

6:24

Sound, we got something late.

6:28

Sounds nothing like Jonas.

6:29

Okay, yeah, but that rattlesnake clearly

6:32

is a cocaine. So

6:36

mine's mine's the sober

6:39

you hear how fast it's going.

6:43

Have you never seen a rattlesnake before?

6:45

Jonas

6:50

cokaine?

6:52

Uhka

6:54

snake, cocaine rattlesnake.

6:57

So Terry Fonto and Raheem

6:59

Morris, we're talking with the media

7:01

last night, and so

7:07

with Spitzer, they were talking with the

7:09

media last night and they were being

7:12

asked about Kirk Cousins

7:14

when they found out that quarterback was going

7:16

to be the move and going to be the direction they were going.

7:19

And this is how that back and forth went last night

7:21

in Atlanta.

7:22

Well that's a private ooh and yeah,

7:24

share that, you know, and alas who reactions

7:27

are pretty private.

7:28

Right, Yeah, you know, he got called on the clock

7:31

obviously because of the sensitive time with the issues of

7:33

what you got going on. It's never a

7:35

right time to talk to a quarterback about those

7:37

things. And reactions are always going to be private when it

7:39

comes to those things, unless Kirk

7:41

decides to tell you some of those things that whatever the

7:43

case may be. But he's a competitor

7:46

just like us all and you can always expect those

7:48

things to go just like you kind of think.

7:51

And so that's the reaction

7:53

they got from Kirk Cousins. Do you think Kirk Cousins

7:55

when that happened last night, they was like,

7:57

what the what?

7:58

Well?

7:59

I wonder the friend, Yeah, he

8:01

probably he probably would have

8:03

said that. I wonder, gosh,

8:05

darn it because one of my thoughts was he

8:08

was better off in Minnesota, and I wonder

8:10

if he thought after that happened, like, damn, I

8:12

should have stayed in Minnesota.

8:14

The irony is, if you look at what Minnesota

8:16

did in the first round, they literally replaced

8:19

what they lost in free agency. They drafted

8:21

a quarterbacks, drafted an Heage Wresser, and

8:23

they lost Daniel Hunter, and they lost Kirk Cousins.

8:26

So they got younger and cheaper at both.

8:28

Yeah, I mean, we don't know if he'll be as competitive

8:31

with both. If if Turner and

8:33

Jaj McCarthy that can be the guys they're hoping they'll be.

8:35

But SAME's room for Justin Jefferson's

8:38

extension, which is God,

8:40

Lee, it's gonna be like thirty five million a year now it's

8:42

got it thirty three at least. I mean, you'd

8:44

have to think he's gonna leap frog Y J.

8:46

Brown.

8:46

Would you not, Yes, man,

8:49

this guy's getting paid. Dude, that's a good

8:51

ass situation for JJ McCarthy.

8:53

I'll tell you that.

8:55

I was just gonna say, I think the biggest winners last

8:57

night are Michael Pennix and

8:59

JJ McCarthy for the quarterback.

9:00

Don't forget they added Aaron Jones

9:03

to that backfield.

9:06

But you know what I'm saying, like, like, both those guys enter into

9:08

good spots. And I don't even say

9:10

bow Knicks to a degree because I think Sean

9:13

Payton is now he's attached his wagon

9:15

to take.

9:16

But he gives them the best chance of success in

9:18

the league. I'd say that I like, I.

9:20

Don't know, I liked something about bow Knicks.

9:23

I think he's gonna I think he's gonna have a good year for

9:25

Denver.

9:25

Did you all see his reaction.

9:27

It looked like he knew, like he he looked

9:29

at his dad and dats him up,

9:32

and it looked like his dad and him were just like

9:34

kind of like gave this nod like yeah, they told us

9:36

this was gonna happen, and this is.

9:37

Where we're going, Jay said Sean

9:40

Payton and this is I don't

9:42

know if this is because of where they were picking or

9:46

I don't know, but he said

9:48

that that Sean Payton said, this

9:51

is my favorite guy in the draft. This is who

9:53

I want in the draft. I think he said the same

9:56

thing to uh.

9:57

He just talking to Belichick on the

9:59

pat Mac if he shows starring aj Hock and he

10:01

said the same thing. They left the they left his private

10:03

workout and said they couldn't.

10:06

Believe what he said with him. Apparent

10:08

apparently they gave him

10:11

playbook. Is that is that what it was?

10:13

Probably?

10:14

Yeah, I heard they gave him the playbook. He needed

10:16

to know the playbook. The next day.

10:19

He comes in the next day, knows the entire

10:21

playbook like what they

10:24

wanted him to know, and executing

10:26

in the next day of meetings or

10:28

whatever it was that they were doing.

10:30

You have to understand, he's a very very mature

10:32

young man. He is older. He's twenty four, so you'd

10:34

expect that to a degree.

10:35

But like if all of these quarterbacks,

10:38

you know, when I get to sit down and talk to him, he

10:40

was the one that came off and I was like, all right, he's he's

10:43

like in college, but he's not about

10:45

all this other crap, like he's ready to go pro.

10:47

Lanning loved him, he loved them, Yeah,

10:50

because he sits his kids.

10:51

He's a he's a coach's son. I

10:54

believe he's married.

10:55

Yeah, he married.

10:56

He's like he's.

10:57

Completely like just settled down and

10:59

not there's no bs to it, right,

11:02

Like you don't worry about getting a call late at night

11:04

because he's out partying or something.

11:05

You don't worry about any of those other things.

11:07

The question just becomes within

11:10

Seawn's Peyton offense, Sean Payton's.

11:12

Offense with what they have, like what's

11:14

his ceiling? How good he can be?

11:16

And if if you're talking about a guy that

11:18

took Drew Brees helped, you know, and

11:20

allowed him to be and set the all

11:23

time what completion percentage you know record and

11:25

become one of the most efficient passers we've ever

11:27

seen. I mean that's what bo Nix

11:30

was at Oregon. He set the completion percentage

11:32

record. Like I know, people want

11:34

to talk about how many screens he threw. That

11:36

was like a big knock on him. But if

11:38

you actually put on the tape too, of the

11:41

plus ten plus you know yards

11:43

downfield or twenty plus yards downfield. He

11:45

was actually really accurate downfield too, But

11:48

everyone knocks him because like, oh, they threw a ton

11:50

of screens. Well, yeah, you've got you

11:52

know, a guy in Troy

11:54

Franklin who's a heck of a

11:56

speed demon that you get the ball to in space and other athletes

11:58

in space.

12:00

We're you're gonna throw screens to those guys.

12:01

So when you say best situation, Michael

12:04

Penis is one of the him and JJ McCarthy.

12:07

If Pennix isn't going to get an opportunity

12:09

to play right away, is that the

12:11

best situation for him?

12:13

Because I think it is for him to sit,

12:15

learn and understand because he's sitting

12:17

behind a guy who kind of similar to Patrick

12:19

Mahomes and Alex Smith. He

12:22

is sitting behind a guy who

12:24

has not been able to rely on his

12:27

talent and athleticism to win.

12:30

Kirk Cousins relies on every

12:33

other in tangible that he

12:35

has in his preparation and

12:38

how he goes about giving himself the best

12:40

chance.

12:40

To win on the field.

12:42

But it all is all through what he does during the week,

12:45

right, So if you're a

12:47

guy like Michael Pennocks, who's more athletic

12:49

he can run better than Kirk Cousins can, So

12:52

you have that in your back pocket, but you don't

12:54

want to rely on that. And I think he knows that too

12:56

from his time in Indiana then to Washington, that

12:58

when you leave the pocket, that's where injuries happen.

13:01

And so he talked about developing

13:03

more of that portion of his game. So I

13:06

think he gets to see how Kirk Cousins prepares,

13:09

how defenses try to take away

13:11

different players. Like that's one of the things that you have

13:13

to learn when you get in the NFL's it's

13:15

all about playmakers.

13:16

It's all about matchups, and it's like that

13:18

to some degree in college.

13:19

But like sometimes like teams just can't even

13:21

take away your best player because they're too good, they

13:23

don't have the ability to. And

13:26

it's more about, you know, halftime in college, just trying to get

13:28

guys lined up in the right spot. Sometimes, so

13:31

at the NFL level, like when you've got Kyle

13:33

Pitts, when you've got Drake London, who you've got all

13:35

these weapons they've gotten now, or Bijeon, how they're

13:37

gonna play Beejeon when he's on the backfield, he's

13:40

gonna see he's gonna here exactly how Kirk Cousins

13:42

breaks down every single moment before

13:45

the snap of the football, and how he goes about

13:47

discerning than confirming.

13:49

What he sees after the snap and what the defense

13:51

is doing.

13:52

Like that is a a education

13:55

that you can't get from a coach.

13:58

You're watching a guy go out there and do it for

14:00

a year or two. So not only does he not have to worry

14:02

about, like, you know, being thrust

14:05

it in there necessarily, no, we don't even know if Kirk gets injured,

14:07

but he gets time to learn the offense. He

14:10

gets time to learn how to prepare, how to

14:12

be a pro, how to how to see how defenses

14:14

match up with their personnel, how to see different defenses

14:16

that he's.

14:17

Going to see, and all those things.

14:19

He gets time before he gets that first

14:21

impression because these other rookies

14:24

that are getting to thrust it into it, we're going to make

14:26

a first impression off of that first year and then

14:29

you know, if they like Bryce Young a lot of people

14:31

have given up on him after one year. Yeah,

14:34

Zach Wilson or and I

14:36

think CJ. Strout will continue to play at a high level.

14:38

But we form our opinion off.

14:39

One year for them, and that's to play that way

14:42

though. That's the thing. That's a successful rookie

14:44

year for a high draft pick the way Stroud

14:47

played, it's crazy, like you, your

14:49

expectations of high

14:52

draft picks are generally unrealistic

14:55

when you're talking about the integration

14:58

and adaptation of being

15:00

in the league. I one hundred percent agree,

15:02

and and that's something that it's a

15:04

lost it's a lost way

15:07

of doing things. It's a lost way because

15:09

we're in a microwave society. Everybody

15:12

wants to see now like

15:14

they want it now, and that's pretty

15:16

crazy. Why ask you a

15:19

question?

15:19

Yeah, completely off topic of

15:21

this because I'm having a conversation to

15:23

side with a met wagon. He asked

15:26

me if Joe has a puberty

15:28

yet, because he looks like he

15:30

does the boy in a giant's body.

15:32

And I was like, when he stood up, that's a great call.

15:35

I was like, he might be seven foot by the time he's

15:37

like his fifth or sixth year in the league.

15:38

That's how big he is.

15:39

That's he does. He does look

15:41

like he's got the really young face, no

15:44

facial no facial even

15:47

trying to come in yet.

15:48

No, he's still growing, like like

15:51

he's he's just a growing boy. He's still

15:53

drinking his milk.

15:54

You know, well, where is he? Where is

15:56

the child? Harry comes

15:58

here, comes tiny, and.

16:00

He's all these big guys by the

16:02

16:22

16:25

19:27

get enough attention. That's silk cash shelves stable

19:42

19:45

I'm talking about.

19:46

Oh, by the way, We're gonna have a silky edition of

19:49

Over. On the weekend, we recapped

19:51

the first round of the draft last hour, A

19:54

lot of controversy.

19:56

We will get into Uh really yeah.

19:58

Okay.

19:59

By the way, LaVar did point out they showed

20:01

a replay of J. J. McCarthy getting drafted.

20:03

There was a dog, there was a

20:05

white lab.

20:06

It wasn't.

20:07

I didn't doubt that there was one dog, but

20:09

it was.

20:10

There's probably more, That is what I'm saying.

20:12

We just weren't paying attention enough.

20:15

I was looking.

20:17

You were looking, yeah, but you didn't

20:19

see the one.

20:21

Well, there's other things

20:24

that people were pointing to that distracted me.

20:26

She was holding the dog exactly.

20:28

She was holding hey, exactly.

20:31

Okay, that's fair, fair point,

20:34

you know what, I won't argue that's fair

20:36

point. All right. I

20:38

feel bad for Olu's girlfriend.

20:42

Why do we keep revisiting are

20:45

talking about it? You're evatuated with

20:47

and his girlfriend. You should be applauding

20:50

this weird no, no, because let me tell you why.

20:52

It's because I think people are trying

20:54

to make it more than it is. And

20:57

I'm with Lee on this, and LaVar

20:59

is trying to just sit there saying that she was blocking

21:02

her out and telling her and

21:04

and Lee Lee pointed out

21:06

that that Olu's girlfriend and

21:08

the mom embraced later like until way

21:11

later.

21:12

He's hoping for that because he wants that same embrace

21:14

when he's.

21:15

Got when he's sitting on the outside, but

21:18

his girlfriend gets drafted. Tang thank

21:23

Lee was told now hope like in his mind,

21:26

that's what his mind created, like she

21:28

did give him a hug, La, No the hell she

21:30

did not. You stay

21:33

right on over the Lee.

21:34

Where did you What footage did you see where there

21:36

was a hug between the two Because I didn't

21:38

see that either, But I trust you because you don't

21:40

miss on.

21:41

This well because everyone trims it, just like at any

21:43

SoundBite that was It wasn't

21:46

short, it wasn't short.

21:47

It was a short man, it was like a minute loan.

21:50

They like they were there for a while. That's

21:53

the awkward reach over the

21:55

mom's lap, like like should I

21:57

touch him? Should I not touch him? Like it's

22:00

just the whole exchange, just

22:03

was the whole.

22:04

Family like hugged at one point and

22:06

she was just standing there like kind

22:08

of clapping like Hercules, Hercules,

22:11

Hercules.

22:14

The fact that Olu was just sitting

22:16

there smiling and laughing though,

22:19

that's what made it even funnier.

22:22

He was just in his he was in

22:24

his face. He

22:27

was totally oblivious. She was on

22:29

the outside. She was

22:31

looking for the support. He's

22:34

like, hey, it's my family.

22:37

Get used to it.

22:44

So, with that being said one

22:49

of the other Lee out here trying

22:51

to find it so he could text messages, he's.

22:54

Really hoping, he's really hoping for

22:56

more acceptance.

22:58

I'm saying it. Look, he's like, I've

23:00

seen it.

23:01

They hugged let me, which is

23:04

you know, it's It's interesting because I thought Lee would have

23:07

defended the mom based on

23:09

his resume.

23:11

Instead he's not. He's going the other way. That's

23:15

more. Uh, yeah, I don't see nothing.

23:18

Yeah, I just see

23:20

the.

23:20

Blenders update is all I got, which

23:23

was thank god for Lee. We

23:25

cleared that up earlier. Okay,

23:29

now now I do see Lee's

23:33

trying to say that Olshanu's

23:36

mom, you didn't send anything.

23:39

I'll though again, a lot of people kind

23:41

of had that we're rich bits

23:43

kind of reaction.

23:44

They did, you know they did. I'm

23:47

telling you when when people

23:49

reached their arms up to the heaven and

23:52

I mean and they just reached out like Jesus,

23:55

you could take.

23:56

Me what I noticed?

23:57

Which one what When the mom.

24:00

Leans over to hug him, the

24:02

girlfriend slides in a little closer.

24:04

Yes, right

24:06

she did. I'm with Lee.

24:09

What an embrace? What a welcome?

24:12

We are? Where is it? Look

24:15

right here? That's

24:17

an embrace.

24:20

She got her whole right buttchee. When

24:22

when the when Mama turned to hug, she

24:25

took up that space. There's an open gap.

24:27

She filled it and then she was right

24:29

there to hug.

24:30

Mama.

24:30

Hey, Mama, for shant everybody in that

24:32

house be proud of yourselves like that.

24:34

That is how you show everybody

24:37

that we're all one and we are Penn

24:40

State.

24:41

We are ah oh.

24:43

But then Mama kind of boxed her out of the picture. Though,

24:45

man, not at the end. I don't know.

24:48

She was really trying to

24:50

figure it out. That's

24:53

like she was really trying to

24:55

figure it out. This

24:58

man well lesser, so

25:01

good luck.

25:02

I feel for good Luckily.

25:03

I've been there. I feel for her. Oh yeah,

25:07

good luckily. I mean,

25:09

uh, Lee just trying

25:11

not to look his awkward man, like I try

25:13

not to draw so much attention. More you

25:15

try not to, the more you do.

25:17

You know.

25:17

It's like the first night, the first time I went

25:19

over to the in laws for a Christmas Eve and

25:22

they were having Tamali's and asked if they had any

25:24

ketchup.

25:25

It was like I was. I was basically O lose

25:27

girlfriend. They looked at me like, what are you doing? Cannot

25:29

Can I just explain to you what makes

25:32

it like not awkward in

25:34

those situations as if

25:36

he had, if he had acknowledged

25:38

her, you know what I mean, Like I

25:41

just got to keep going back to.

25:43

He didn't acknowledge her.

25:44

Oh was Oh was in his world,

25:47

man like whatever world he went into

25:49

when they called his name, that's where he was

25:51

living. Well, he's going to New York. He stayed

25:53

right in the center. He did not he did not

25:56

move, He did not deviate. He

25:58

did he was just right there,

26:01

smiling, laughing.

26:05

It wouldn't have been as awkward if he would have just got up,

26:07

like this is what you do, right, You get up, You

26:11

hug your mom, you hug your

26:13

dad, you hug your chick. Everybody

26:16

like turn you acknowledge people like Oh,

26:18

Lou was just sitting there like Olu

26:21

time, like Olu's happy

26:24

and what time y'all got Lou? I got

26:26

Lou

26:28

thirty, Olu

26:30

forty five. He

26:33

was chilling. That's what made it awkward because she was

26:35

trying to figure out like when do I do

26:37

it?

26:37

Like?

26:37

I don't want to be disrespectful. I don't want to be that

26:39

girl. And she turned out to be that girl just

26:42

because she was trying not to be. And

26:45

that's sad. Oh, lou do better,

26:47

man, you gotta do better. You

26:49

had her out there, you had

26:51

literally you had her out there.

26:55

Well, somebody who's been out there misinterpreting

26:57

on reach and damn

27:00

shame's

27:02

somebody who's been out there in

27:05

trade talks has been Brandon Ayuk.

27:07

Now, for what it's worth,

27:11

Brady's guy, Mike Silver's.

27:13

Been covering the NFL for a long time. Brady

27:16

loves Mike Silver, big fan of Mike Silver,

27:18

loves them.

27:19

Mike Silver said, based on conversations

27:21

that he has had with people around the league, and again

27:24

he's been doing a long time, very well sourced,

27:27

he says that it's more likely than not that

27:30

the forty nine ers would trade Deebo

27:32

Samuel and not Brandon Ayuk.

27:34

Oh wow, that's what he said. That's what he

27:36

reported. Did you make that up?

27:38

No?

27:39

He tweeted that he said, based on conversations,

27:41

it's more likely they would trade Deebo instead of

27:43

Brandon oh Man.

27:45

I mean, there's two big issues with that.

27:47

The first is the way they use Debo,

27:50

Like they're so creative in the many

27:52

different ways they get him the football, so I'd

27:54

hate that. And the second thing is

27:57

their walkout him and Trent

27:59

Way when they got the boom box.

28:01

I don't know who the dude is with the boom Box.

28:02

It's awesome, and it's always like Debo

28:05

and Trent like walking out.

28:06

Together kind of as they get going.

28:08

And I don't know, like I'm not like a Niners

28:11

fan or I think I'm not partial, but I get hyped.

28:13

Up, like all right, here they come, man, here the boys

28:15

camp, but let's go. So that's

28:18

gonna be disappointed because you can't just replace

28:20

that, you know.

28:21

So they drafted Ricky Piersoll out

28:23

of Florida, and John

28:26

Lynch spoke yesterday following

28:28

the draft pick and then talked about the status

28:30

of both Brandon Ayuk and Deebo Samuel.

28:33

We're continuing to have positive talks with BA

28:35

and you know, we

28:38

are really efforting to

28:41

get something done with him, and we're excited about

28:43

continuing down that path and

28:46

Brandon being a part of this team. Deebo is a part

28:48

of this team and a big part of this team. So, like

28:51

I said, we feel great about that group and we

28:53

feel like we just made it better with another

28:56

really good addition to it. Who compliments

28:58

the group.

28:59

Real, Well, you close the door on a

29:01

trade, never closed the door out of trade.

29:03

I mean we you know,

29:05

we'll we'll always listen and and

29:07

and we have and uh, but we

29:10

like our group as it.

29:11

Stands based on their track record.

29:13

Should anybody on that roster feel safe

29:15

that's cure in their job. Never I've just said

29:18

they kicked the tires on everybody. Tom

29:20

Brady, I.

29:22

Mean they Yeah, that's that they're wieling and dealing. They

29:27

have leverage right now for

29:29

this reason. Anyone who didn't

29:31

get a wide receiver that's looking for

29:33

a bona fide coming right away

29:35

help our.

29:36

Roster impact us.

29:37

Well, they got two guys, I mean now,

29:40

one in Brendon Aukhu's on his fifth year option. He

29:43

wants a new deal. So if you're signing up

29:45

for that, you're signing up for paying him too. And that's going to

29:47

now be as he's probably looking to reset

29:49

the market somewhere north of somewhere in the ballpark

29:51

of thirty two million per year. Whether whether

29:53

you think he deserves that or not doesn't matter. That's

29:56

like the market, that's the going right now. We're

29:58

starting to talk about that for wide receivers, which

30:00

is nuts, but that's where we are. And then

30:02

Debo, you know his contract,

30:05

it's it's I mean, the cap hit this year is

30:07

like twenty eight point six million. So

30:11

what I what I find interesting about it is they

30:13

drafted Ricky.

30:13

Piarsl, who, by the way, I love like.

30:15

I didn't think a team would take him in the first round,

30:18

but I one hundred percent get why

30:20

San Francisco would because Carolina

30:22

or someone probably would have taken him at the

30:24

top of the second round had they stayed put.

30:27

Instead, they moved up to get a receiver.

30:29

But he's got speed, he's got

30:31

hands, he's a heck of a route runner. He could do a bunch of

30:33

different things. So I love

30:35

the pick. And I think if you're San Francisco

30:37

and you're looking at what Philly's done with Reep

30:40

and aj Brown and DeVante Smith, and

30:42

you look at who you have to beat to win a Super Bowl,

30:44

which is the Kansas City Chiefs, and look what they did

30:46

in the draft, and what they've done this offseason.

30:49

You kind of have to figure out a way of making this work

30:52

to keep all this firepower at least for this year.

30:55

And look, you got broocked, pretty us rooky

30:57

deal. So why not try to maximize

31:00

have these three studs at wide receiver for you

31:02

along with Kittle, along with McCaffrey, and

31:05

go after it and figure out a way of like making it work.

31:08

I mean, Philly's making it work. They've

31:11

got a ton of money, you know, wrapped up into

31:13

the wide receivers, but it sounds

31:15

like like they're going to have.

31:16

To move on from one of them, I guess to make it all work.

31:19

Yeah, so we get to watch that fun story

31:21

play out, and who knows, maybe it'll get done later on today

31:23

we'll see. But coming up next here we close

31:25

up shop with a special edition of Over

31:28

trusting you to be able to give out accurate information

32:56

this time based on what happened during the

32:59

look back on over unders.

33:01

For the first round of the draft. That was solid.

33:04

I got perfect. Brady won, Okay.

33:08

I mean, here's the thing.

33:09

When Jonas comes in strong, knowing how

33:11

bad he is a betting, I just we've

33:13

got to humble you a little bit.

33:14

John It okay, first of all, bad, I am a betting.

33:17

You saw the proof.

33:18

You saw the proof that I bet on Caleb Williams

33:20

to go number one overall?

33:22

That is true. Did you see you

33:24

see that bet?

33:25

Yeah? We bet twenty bucks to win.

33:27

You been.

33:29

I did see that. Hey,

33:31

when's the way you can kiss my ass? All right?

33:34

I did see it.

33:35

Those two pennies I could throw in a fountain in a

33:37

car wash and somebody would look at that and

33:39

go, you know, that's good luck.

33:40

So that's you know I'm gonna I'm gonna take those wins when

33:42

I can get it. All right, Lee, what have we got?

33:45

Are we doing last week's or are we just going to this

33:47

week? This week? I probably won last week.

33:49

Too, No, you lost, all right,

33:51

guys, let's just do this week, all right. Let' we got some more draft

33:53

to go through, So let's do this we talked about

33:56

it. Raiders are the favorite to draft Spencer

33:58

Rattler. They pick at number

34:00

forty four over under on where

34:02

Spencer Ratler gets drafted forty four and a.

34:04

Half under under, I

34:07

think his name goes off early.

34:14

I'm gonna take the over.

34:15

Such a bad crush.

34:16

I'm gonna take the over on

34:19

Spencer Rattler. Yeah,

34:23

coke D Coke D.

34:24

Rattlesnake can't

34:26

even acknowledge that drug addict.

34:32

Guys about this round A punter or kicker

34:34

gets drafted in four and a half.

34:38

Ooh, it's

34:41

been a funky draft. I'm gonna take the under.

34:44

I'm trying to think who's hyped up enough?

34:48

Taylor from gonna take the over?

34:49

I just I feel like Tom

34:52

Brady got taken the sixth round.

34:55

Pretty what mister irrelevant?

34:57

Like? What about to do from iowas

34:59

he out in the draft?

35:00

Oh no, he is in the draft.

35:01

Yeah, I'm gonna take you to put my money on him

35:03

taking the under.

35:04

He gets drafted in the fourth round.

35:06

Yep, by the four man.

35:09

He probably should I mean, hell, he's pretty good.

35:11

But I'm just gonna say, say the

35:13

over.

35:16

Guys.

35:16

Blake Korham big name amongst

35:18

the running backs. Where is he amongst

35:20

the draft positions among the running backs?

35:22

Two and a half? So Lake

35:25

Korum's draft position among running backs two and a half.

35:27

You've got Jonathan Brooks, who's gonna be the first running

35:29

back taking off the board.

35:30

I think you come up an injury though,

35:32

Trey.

35:32

Benson out of Florida State, whom

35:35

I mentioning you got Blake korm Is a part of that conversation.

35:40

That's too much of an educated over under

35:42

for me. Marshawn Lloyd, Jalen

35:45

Wright.

35:45

I don't know that it put him ahead of him jaalen Wright. Maybe

35:48

someone to you might like him better.

35:49

Bryln Allen's who's young, too, bigger

35:52

back, different style, Bucky Irvans the other

35:54

guy I really like.

35:55

I don't know.

35:56

I don't take the over.

35:58

I'll take the over two.

36:01

Take the under. All right? There

36:03

it is. I mean, damn, damn,

36:08

I didn't get to go. Why

36:12

you say it like that? Man? Like cutting

36:14

me off? Like come on, like doing

36:18

my research here? All right?

36:21

Fellow's number of players who were traded through the rest

36:23

of the draft at a half.

36:25

Oh, I'll take that over. Somebody's getting out.

36:28

Somebody's going to get out.

36:30

You heard go entertained,

36:33

all all trades, all

36:36

over, traded out

36:39

of here to day

36:42

and fellas you got to cap it off, right, mister

36:44

irrelevant, Will it be an offensive or defensive

36:47

player? I think the racial deal

36:50

would be a better overall black

36:52

or white. Alright,

36:54

Yes, I

36:56

know I was gonna say that. Oh

36:59

no, no, I was gonna but

37:01

I'm going white a way,

37:04

mister irrelevant. What was the first round?

37:06

Did we do the numbers on.

37:07

That number of black

37:09

versus white?

37:11

But listen, listen

37:14

there.

37:15

Did we get over five?

37:16

And I mean it depends on still

37:19

out, It depends on racist.

37:22

It was a quarterback or saying nothing.

37:24

You know, mister

37:27

irrelevant in defense of

37:29

Olu's girlfriend.

37:31

Yes, you're going white.

37:32

I'm gonna go black

37:35

for mister irrelevant.

37:36

Here it's black. No, oh

37:40
