Today’s topic can be described in many different terms. The most common term is “bad talking”. This has to do with the way that one parent speaks about the other parent to the child(ren). It’s typical for there to be a certain level of animosity and conflict between separating and divorcing parents. And while we can agree that when kids get in the middle of that conflict, they should be protected from “bad talking” that comes from either parent, what we cannot agree on is exactly how to define and interpret “bad talk” or “non-laudatory terms”.
