14 years ago, somewhere along the 26 long years, she spent in the corporate world, Cressida got training in coaching. Around that time, coaching was only almost exclusively associated with sports and the academe. It was almost unheard of in the business world. But the philosophy of coaching where people are given the freedom to process and work things out for themselves is what originally attracted her to the discipline.
While she was very lucky and grateful for the huge success she enjoyed, and despite being the epitome of what most women would aspire to be, she had increments of realizations that made her consider there must be something better away from that life.

Highlights:

  • Her identity was based solely on who she was at work -- and yet the organization she dedicated  all her time and soul was making decisions she did not agree with and was not reflecting her own values
  • Why the shift after 14 years? Because she would like to help more women the way she would want to be helped when she was in her 30s.
  • Who she caters to? People who suffer from impostor syndrome, lack of confidence, and seeking personal brand
  •  Exercise for Personal Branding: first four steps are Inward looking (Your story, your passions, and purpose, your values, your skills); the remaining three are Outward looking (behavior, communication, imaging)
  •  Benefits of having an established personal brand: Self-discovery, having a "set apart" identity; and being the primary voice that influences the narrative about you
  • Why do many of us struggle with confidence? Social norms of our formative years dictate our insecurities; we're paid and valued less

Her definition of success years ago was the classic: having a good career, and having money that enables you to make choices without giving it so much thought. But now, things have changed. Along with that change, she has now greater joy in helping people, especially women discover their real power and potential. Her firm works with teams and organizations but is predominantly caters to helping women because she understands how difficult it is to be a minority in the workplace. If you want to break free from impostor syndrome, lack confidence, and want to discover your own personal brand, Cressida may be the coach you need.
