Most episodes are actually 2-3 minutes, which is a good thing. The podcast brings you summaries of recent science studies and news, clips of interviews, and news briefs from the magazine. Serves as a nice break between longer podcasts. The 30-second commercial at the beginning seems kind of long for a such a short podcast, so can't listen to too many in a row, but they do need to be compensated.
Not much, anymore, can be presented in less than five minutes. Scientific American has done a great job of presenting new technology, old ideas being implemented, and the everyday effects of change-- and show how it impacts you personally. The episodes are frequent, but always welcome.
I love that there are so many. I listen to a few a day and I still have a hundred are so left. Sometimes a weird amount of political ads. Loud sound effects. Earlier episodes are better.
