I think there should be a correlation between the seriousness of crimes and the bond. However, factors should be considered when setting the bond such whether the suspect is a repeat offender and whether it is his/her first time unless the crime in question is serious such as murder/possession of lbs of narcotics/gang affiliations. Nevertheless, I think suspects should take responsibility for their actions. The mother who was interviewed, kept saying that she needs someone to help her and claiming that this time will be her last time. There is no accountability and acknowledgement of the fact that she offended by her own will. Unless she me others like her change this mentality, they are lost causes as they will never accept the fact that they offended; it’s always someone else problem 🙃
