RATING
This podcast does the incredibly necessary and difficult job of researching instances of police brutality and crimes. These crimes and cover-ups are fueled and supported by bigotry and racism. Awareness and knowledge are power. It isn't easy to listen to, but it is necessary to listen to. I am grateful to Katherine (host) for what she is doing.
Dr. Katherina has created a unique true crime podcast for all to enjoy. I highly recommend.
A Few Bad ApplesThank you so much, Zach!
You guys gotta check this one out! Katherine is an absolutely amazing host who does her research and it shows! Every episode takes you on a wild ride as she plays out the events that ultimately lead to these tragedies, and does so in a way that feels both informative as well as respectful for the victims. I’m amazed at how she’s been able to take these cases of people who abuse their power and highlight what went wrong but never does so at the expense of those who suffered. Overall an amazing listen that leaves me feeling insightful and full of compassion for the people at the heart of these cases.
A Few Bad Apples is a podcast especially important to our current times. Katherine treats the subject matter in an informative and appropriately critical manner. As a host, she is engaging and insightful. It might not be the most comfortable listen, given the subject matter, but everyone needs to listen and subscribe.
This podcast is very informative and needed. Research is well done and delivered in a way which is conscious of the victims involved.
A Few Bad ApplesI really appreciate that feedback!
Only a few episodes in but wow, I’m blown away! Well researched, presented in a respectful but entertaining manner and highly enjoyable. If you’re looking for podcasts about the problems within the criminal justice system this is the one!
Very well researched and presented materials. The program is informative and entertaining.
I’m a huge fan of Catherine and the impartiality she showcases with each episode. She is engaging, knowledgeable and passionate and I leave each case having learnt something. What I love most is how thorough the research is, you can tell just how much work is put in! If you love true crime, you’ll love A Few Bad Apples
Really interesting dive into true crime by the cops. Informative, well researched and always enjoyable.
A Few Bad ApplesThank you so much for listening!
A unique true crime podcast focusing on the police. Brings to light that things to need to change within the police departments, such as training and evaluations. She also still highlights police that go above and beyond. Very informative.
Katherine does an amazing job sharing stories about cops abusing their power without incorporating her own thoughts and feelings, which can often color podcasts depending on where your bias lies. She does a great job sharing the facts in a short, concise way while also ending her episodes with a short story about "good apples" as a great palette cleanser. If you like to stay informed on social injustices, this is the binge-worthy podcast for you.
This is a very interesting and informative podcast. Katherine is very respectful and tells these cases really well. Go, give it a listen!
A really unique take on true crime! This show highlights criminal actions (real or perceived) by those in power. In doing so, this podcast gives us a chance to explore cases that may be controversial and polarizing. This one belongs on every podcast fan's true crime list. Great content!
I think this is a great podcast. The research, data and information was very well put together, and I would highly recommend it. If you are interested in police brutality, and excessive force on police officers abusing private individuals? This podcast is a good one.I would highly recommend you listening to it if you want to find out more about police brutality and excessive use of force and violating their authority.
Dr. Katherine's podcast is phenomenal and so appropriate given everything happening in our society.
Everyday we want to feel safe in our community, this podcast makes it a point to find those few bad apples and brings them to light.
Amazing and horrible at the same time. The podcast itself is amazing, the content is really good and well-researched. The horrible part comes from the few bad apples that stain the reputation of the good apples and it's really heartbreaking to listen to these cases and to think there are this kind of people who so grossly take advantage of their police status. It's really important to shed light to these cases and to bring justice to the victims and this podcast does it amazingly well. It's a must-listen.
Fascinating and frightening at the same time. This podcast does a wonderful job at shedding light upon bad apples within the police community that tarnish the overall reputation of law enforcement, while also highlighting good apples in each episode as well. Extremely well done and a must listen.
Dr K goes through and breaks down the cases of true crime from behind the thin blue line. She shines a light on what they would rather just be kept in the dark. If you want to hear the stories that the police would rather you just forget, this is THE pod to listen to.
I love it man!!
