Emily's transition into motherhood was rockier than most. After escaping a DV situation, Emily found herself homeless at 13 weeks pregnant, couch surfing and sleeping on friends' floors. Being pregnant and unable to find work, Emily was placed into a housing commission house where she was left scrambling to set up her home before her son's arrival.
