A Voice From Darkness

 13 people rated this podcast
Radio broadcaster and parapsychologist Dr. Malcolm Ryder helps callers with their supernatural problems. He also delves into the dark and strange history of America. Callers are haunted by mysterious black doors, see ancient beings in their paisley wallpaper, have terrifying creatures appear in their cars on dark and lonely roads. In the history segment of our show, Ryder tells of the pyramid made of flesh in Palta, Arizona that appeared one morning, of how the Mississippi River is a sleeping leviathan, and of the last known sighting of the dark dealmaker, The Traveling Salesman.

I've listened to this show about 3-4 times already and it just never gets boring. The narrator has a really cool voice and the story is creepy and mysterious. the episode "Blue is..." is in my top 3 episodes of all time. The writing and voice acting for it are outstanding. And the villain of the series has some truly terrifying powers! I audibly gasped when his identity was revealed! Bonus point for the good transcripts and Malcolms personality.
The narrator's voice and character are extremely entertaining to listen to, and the episodes are easy to become engrossed in. I love the vignette style that this podcast uses, giving the listeners little story bites. Being able to listen to three or four of them while driving to or from work is very satisfying.
Love the feel of this excellent show. The late night talkshow host combined with the paranormal aspects works brilliantly. Your skin will crawl at the flash fiction from the voicemail episodes, and the slowly expanding world that is emerging in the main show has me hooked. Keep your ears open, to make sure you hear a voice from darkness.
