The White Ship is a short story published by H.P. Lovecraft in 1927. It is perhaps my favourite story among his substantial body of fantastical work : not directly associated with the Cthulu mythology, the White ship becomes a parallel lore of its own, unique and mystical. It is an allegory for humanity's unquenchable curiosity, unbridled pride, and chasing impossible dreams. .It is a bit of a departure from creating podcasts out of my own content, but it's now been quite a while since I've recorded anything, and I've always wanted to narrate a gothic bedside story, so here it is ! I hope you will enjoy it, and that it will open up H.P. Lovecraft's imaginary worlds to you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Sound bites from Placidplace, Palle 1958, Artslop Flodur, 33nano, LesFM, Magnetic Trailer, Geoff Harvey and Litesaturation @ Pixabay Music
