I started literally SCREAMING and crying when I got the news (text) today that someone I thought was having a stroke was, indeed, having a stroke, but in did nothing. I didn’t call 911 for her because I didn’t want to be a busybody getting into her business. What is she was just high on Benzos or whatever? Still - I should have called 911. I AM A STROKE SURVIVOR and I KNEW BETTER but I FAILED. OMG, I failed spectacularly. I do, however,, realize that I could not have stopped the stroke and that in didn’t cause it. Still…. Don’t wait! Remember: when someone is having a stroke, EVERY SECOND COUNTS! TIme that the brain goes without oxygen equals brain DEATH, and brains FO BOT HEAL!!! Please learn about stroke symptoms and v what to watch for and remember FAST: F: face. Is the face dropping or is itsymmetrical? A: is the arm weak? S: is the speech slurred? Is the person making sense? T: TIME it’s of the essence - TIME TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL/CALL 911!!!!!!!!!! I probably don’t have these right, but please learn them and please be aware! Strokes kill people and the ones the stroke doesn’t don’t kill just wish it had! (I -am absolutely speaking for myself…). Please educate yourself about STROKES! K? 👍🏻. Strokes suck balls!!!!!!!
