Do not bow to things, people, situations, trends, influencers and circumstances that will cause you to completely re-arrange and exchange your God-given identity. Do not exchange your soul for temporary validation, so-called greatness, so-called success, and the pleasures of the systems of this world. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but it’s end is the way of death.” Psalm14:12 It is better to be cancelled by the systems of this world than to be cancelled by God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. If you are going to bow and imitate anyone, bow and imitate God. If you are going to worship anyone, worship the One who gave Himself up for you! “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” -Ephesians 5:1-2. Many situations, circumstances, people and events take place, and will take place, to influence or force us to bow, but at what cost? At what price? Many want us to bow and dance to their music but I tell you, don’t, because the price is too high! “Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” -Daniel 3:15-18.
