As you may know, I'm back on the Coordinating Committee of the Peace Center and volunteered to take on the task of leading our annual Holiday Gala planning committee. We're going to hold it on the 11th (online) and 12th (interactive) of December and it looks like we are going to have to put together an OUTSTANDING and ASTOUNDING online event by then. So---friends, members, allies, volunteers, tech whizzes---please get on the committee and SHOWER me with creative ideas! Our first planning meeting will be held at the Peace Center, 3pm Thursday, Sept 10th (you can join us on Zoom if you'd rather distance). Some ideas include: virtual local bands and drum-circles, large Zoom meetings, silent auctions, videos on honored members (such as Allen Cooper and Mandy Pino). Videos on Peace and Justice groups, events, volunteers, staff and members, photo montages...I KNOW you can come up with many more suggestions.
