Each of us has reached our own concept of our Creator related to our life experiences. The Big Book says that if you had a religion that you were raised in, take what you like and leave the rest. Your present concept of God that you had before will change as you grow in recovery. If you were raised without a concept of God, please just remember this: whoever your higher power is, it is not you. You already were your only higher power. And made all you're using and abusing decisions on your own. And that's what got us here! Time to change your tactics and time to change your power! Trust and rely on God.
