0:22
. But if you're like me , it's easier
0:24
to listen or to watch than to
0:26
read yet another thing
0:29
in your inbox , so I'm glad
0:31
you're here on this version . Today
0:33
I wanted to share a story about
0:35
this frog who dreamed
0:38
of becoming a prince . You
0:40
know the story I'm talking about . He'd
0:42
imagine that kiss , the
0:45
transformation , the people
0:47
he'd reign over when he had legs
0:49
, and the glory he'd enjoy
0:51
. He'd imagine going from
0:53
the mud to the castle . One
0:56
day a princess finally laid one on him and
0:59
, bingo , he got his wish
1:01
. In this swirl of sparkling
1:04
dust he transformed into this
1:06
regal human housed in the
1:08
royal palace . But
1:10
there was a problem . That
1:12
frog ended up hating his new
1:14
life . The palace air was
1:16
dry compared to his cool
1:19
pond , the royal robes
1:21
were itchy , the crown
1:23
was cumbersome , it hurt his neck
1:25
and the job was boring
1:28
. Worse yet , the
1:30
princess was kind of a pill All
1:33
day long . That poor frog just longed to
1:35
be back , playing and romping
1:37
and just relishing his mud puddle
1:39
. This
1:43
twist on the ending to that would
1:45
be happily ever after . Fairy tale
1:47
was the gist of a really amusing
1:50
poem I read once in school and
1:52
I think it was back in high school and
1:54
I've searched high and low for it to try
1:56
to find who wrote it and can
1:58
I find that original poem . But I can't
2:00
find it . But I thought it was such an interesting
2:03
perspective to take
2:05
. That other approach to a
2:07
would be fairy tale about how great the
2:10
grass is on the other side . I
2:12
know you probably believe that
2:15
, or know to be true , that the grass is
2:17
always greener , but doesn't the frog
2:19
story really vividly bring it
2:21
to life ? Okay
2:23
, today I'm reminded about the gloriousness
2:25
of my own muddy pond . I
2:28
hope you're loving yours as well . What
2:31
is your favorite thing about your
2:33
current circumstance ? If
2:36
you'd be willing to reply and share , I'd love to hear
2:38
from you . I'm at Lisa at AdviceColumncom
2:40
and mostly I just
2:42
wanted to take a moment to remind us to
2:44
appreciate what we've got . So
2:47
ribbit , ribbit . If
2:50
you know anyone who might like this newsletter , let
2:52
them know about it . And thanks for sharing
2:54
the journey with me . Bye .
