AFK with Ninja. Welcome.

2:08

I'm going

2:16

to be stealing this line from my friends

2:19

in the Tatman. Good morning, good evening, good

2:21

afternoon whenever you're listening to this episode and

2:23

welcome to the AFK with Ninja podcast. Today's

2:26

episode is going to

2:29

be about multicasting. Multicasting

2:33

is when you are streaming to multiple platforms

2:35

at once. It's pretty simple. You

2:38

can use a little, there's a website Restream. I

2:40

think Streamlabs OBS allows you to do it as

2:42

well. Yeah, you just plug

2:44

in all of your stream keys on all of your different

2:46

platforms. You click the go live button on your

2:50

OBS and you're live

2:52

everywhere. So that is

2:55

multicasting. So you're streaming to

2:57

Twitch, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram,

2:59

whatever you want to add

3:01

to your multicast list. Yeah,

3:04

very simple. Well, simply put,

3:06

I guess it can be a little bit difficult if

3:09

you're not familiar with some

3:11

of the software. Multicasting

3:13

hasn't really been a thing until recently,

3:16

at least for me. It started about

3:18

a year ago, a year ago today,

3:21

the anniversary of my multicasting. It

3:24

was a crazy journey.

3:27

I mean, streaming and reading

3:30

OneChat, especially when you got tens

3:32

of thousands of viewers, is hard enough. But

3:35

then to add different platforms that you've never even

3:37

streamed them before ever, because I was just on

3:39

Justin TV and Twitch and then obviously Mixer. But

3:43

it's pretty easy to handle OneChat. You can

3:45

handle OneChat. But to make sure

3:47

that you have your Twitter stand up,

3:49

TikTok's a different beast, especially if you

3:51

want to use a different OBS to make sure that

3:54

resolution is different on TikTok. People are watching on their

3:56

phones and on a monitor. So

3:58

I have a different OBS for that. It

4:01

was tough, it was very stressful at first because

4:03

I'm just sitting here trying to make sure that one

4:06

platform isn't lagging over the other, that I'm

4:08

trying to be interactive and making sure I'm reading all the

4:10

chats so that no one feels left out. When

4:13

I started, I was doing Facebook, Twitter,

4:16

TikTok, Instagram, Twitch,

4:20

and Twitch and YouTube.

4:22

And now I'm doing kick every once in a while as well. And

4:25

dude, it's fun. It's fun. I felt like I

4:27

was shivering for the first time again when

4:29

it started. I was so nervous the first couple of days.

4:33

But dude, it was great. It was great. I

4:35

think it was a perfect spot for

4:37

me to do such a thing, especially

4:39

after switching platforms so many times. I was just like,

4:41

I think it would be best if I just did

4:44

it everywhere. And this initial

4:46

idea came from Jess and I.

4:48

Jess and I were having this conversation, I think, when

4:50

I was about to sign up for my Twitch contract

4:52

years ago. This is when we actually switched

4:54

to Mixer. Jess and I

4:56

always wanted to make sure we had different options and

4:58

made sure that we were taken care of and that

5:00

we were never in a terrible situation. And one of

5:02

the things that we thought of and talked about was

5:04

we want to sign with Twitch. We want to sign

5:06

with Twitch. We want the money to be right. We

5:10

just want a great deal. So Twitch is our number one,

5:12

of course. Our second offer was

5:15

still in the works, but we're like, I love the Mixer

5:17

platform. It would be crazy. It would

5:19

be crazy in the space to

5:21

make a switch, switch to another platform that

5:23

isn't Twitch, an exclusivity deal.

5:27

It's unheard of. It'd be insane to do it

5:29

at this level. So that

5:31

was our second option. A little bit more

5:33

risky, obviously, because Twitch was king and still

5:36

kind of is for live streaming. And then our

5:38

third option, and this is, I think, I

5:40

honestly couldn't tell you if this was Jess or me that came

5:42

up with this idea. I think we both did. I think we

5:44

both kind of were like, what if we just kind of, what

5:47

if we just stream everywhere? We

5:49

don't sign with anybody and we

5:51

stream everywhere all at once, all

5:53

the time, and just get as

5:56

many, and like just to be able to get as many of yours

5:58

as possible. Brian, I mean, like what's better than that? And

6:00

then our business plan was app. So obviously

6:02

we would hopefully, because you can still be printed on

6:04

YouTube, you can still make subscriptions and money and donations

6:07

and stuff like that off of YouTube even without an

6:09

exclusivity deal, which is incredible, even

6:11

if you're multicasting. But we're like, where are we going

6:14

to make the money? Where's it going to be

6:16

the main source of income there? And we

6:18

were like, okay, well, if we're going to be doing streaming

6:21

everywhere, eventually what we could do is once we've

6:23

proven that the concept works and that we get

6:25

viewers everywhere, we can then start to sell exclusivity.

6:27

And it's something that we still could do, by

6:29

the way. And I've

6:33

had the option yet really because we haven't

6:35

hosted anything worth selling exclusivity for. But

6:38

then it's like, okay, well, who wants this amazing

6:40

Ninja Vegas 2.0? We

6:44

can do an exclusivity deal where this event is

6:46

going to be streamed only on YouTube or only

6:48

on Kik or only on TikTok or only on

6:51

Twitch. They have

6:53

to pay for it. They have to pay for the exclusivity. It

6:55

would be crazy. We're not trying to delete any of

6:57

these companies dry, but it's just the same thing with

6:59

NFL Sunday ticket, right? Things

7:01

like that. It's like, okay, well, what's going to be on the platform? What

7:05

are we streaming these games on? Is it going to

7:07

be Amazon? Is Amazon going to buy? Is it going

7:09

to be YouTube TV this year? Is

7:12

it going to be DirecTV, NFL Sunday ticket, blah,

7:14

blah, blah, whatever? So

7:16

that was our master plan

7:19

five years ago, four years ago, we thought about

7:21

that. And this

7:24

year, or last year,

7:26

I should say, we were at that at

7:28

that road again. There

7:30

wasn't a real offer. And a

7:33

lot of exclusivity deals were kind of just

7:35

starting to disappear anyways. So we were prepared

7:37

to pivot, right? And I

7:39

hated the thought of being just

7:41

like, hey, you need to stream six hours

7:44

a day, eight hours a day, every day,

7:46

like to hit this minimum to get paid.

7:49

It was a terrible feeling. I barely

7:51

even hit them on Twitch. I

7:53

mean, it's just, it's, you know, these minimum required,

7:55

these minimum deals in general, these

7:57

deals, it, You know, the company.

8:00

To be taken care of right and protected rights of

8:02

these minimum requirements It makes sense said but a you

8:04

know but it's just it really does it be starts

8:06

to feel like a job sources like a job which

8:08

is. You know it is

8:10

a job but. It. Really does. This

8:12

is like you wake up. It's like okay, I need.

8:15

To. Stream and hours a day. Or I need to catch up

8:17

on hours and I need to three more. In.

8:19

If you're not enjoying yourself, I can. reliably the fun out

8:21

of streaming was by the way. Spoiler Alert is the reason

8:23

that people want to watch streams to begin with. Who they

8:25

want to see the humor, having fun they want and when

8:27

the sure miss having fun ninety nine percent the time. But

8:30

sad as having fun. And. It's a great experience.

8:33

You know I was a cyclists and you know will make

8:35

money on you tube. Twist The viewers will

8:37

be there so that a be great. Like

8:39

to see I that still I'm going to given

8:41

the majority of my viewers and then I'm like

8:44

will assign Alec to Talk Amie I silly tic

8:46

tac as incredible as the stream, a meaningless go

8:48

viral randomly at any point. And.

8:51

Get. Incredible numbers and any to push those years

8:53

to remain platforms. It's is is it was just

8:55

great. So. Yeah, I decided I was like

8:57

listen, let's do this. Let's do this. Like. The

9:00

money will come in the future. Like. Correct

9:02

as is. no deals, right? So we're not being

9:04

paid millions, Rocking paid anything by anyone. Else

9:07

I was do this will what you know

9:09

will have will read more viewers which means

9:11

that we can ask for for more revenue

9:13

and offer more things to sponsors. And.

9:16

A I did in a bid works. I'm.

9:18

Pretty. Quickly you know our numbers are necessary to

9:20

climb. I wasn't just serving on Twitch anymore. I was

9:23

adding another. You know, anywhere from six thousand to ten

9:25

thousand years on you tube. I was adding anywhere from

9:27

two to ten thousand years. I'm sick talk. You

9:30

know, a prime time, you know,

9:32

new for night season. We're pulling

9:34

in like thirty to thirty to

9:36

fifty thousand years across all platforms.

9:38

It was amazing. It works, was

9:40

great because I've worked star on

9:42

our sponsors are happy we're starting

9:44

to see sponsorship offers. That.

9:46

In the contract. Warlike,

9:48

Requesting multi casting right when we were

9:51

doing some of the seems so. It

9:53

worked. It was awesome is dope. I. Live.

9:56

Learn from it. i think it

9:58

has the power back in the creators I love that,

10:01

you know, if you have the option to

10:03

do it, I think go for

10:05

it Right. I think even

10:07

right now you're allowed to stream on tiktok and

10:09

twitch at the same time because tiktok isn't necessarily

10:11

a gaming platform Or

10:14

it's not yeah It's not looked at as

10:16

a as a streaming platform per se like via

10:18

desktop or whatever So you're able to do that?

10:21

And I mean I try to try to try to figure it out

10:23

Try to talk to your twitch rep or whoever you are and see

10:25

if you can stream Everywhere because again, I think

10:27

that it'll it's the best way to grow your brand. It's best

10:29

way to grow You know

10:31

to be recognized The

10:34

more people that can find you you can funnel them

10:36

into you know Whichever platform you enjoy streaming the most

10:38

on or you enjoy, you know

10:40

the chat the interface whatever. I

10:43

think it's a great idea Lot

10:45

of benefits a lot of upside discoverability goes up

10:48

So that would be my advice to some creators that would be

10:50

my to a lot of creators Especially if you're

10:53

starting out. This is really more so if you're starting

10:55

out Hey, if I

10:57

was ninja we are gonna

10:59

do what we are gonna do Here's another

11:01

thing I've learned from all the casting from

11:04

my experience I have

11:06

not seen like viewers Heavily

11:09

dip on one count on one platform and

11:12

go to another right if anything

11:14

I've pulled thousands

11:16

of people over from tiktok to

11:19

my youtube and to my twitch like I've

11:21

pulled people off of other platforms and And

11:23

and they've found that they've enjoyed, you know

11:25

a viewing experience better on on twitch So

11:28

it's like if anything it's just

11:30

beneficial for the platform Right people aren't going

11:32

to leave if I'm live on twitch and

11:34

someone's already on twitch and I'm also live

11:36

on YouTube People aren't

11:39

leaving twitch to pull up my youtube

11:41

right and watch me on youtube unless I'm

11:43

funneling them there and I'm not I

11:46

would love to have a conversation and really Have

11:49

a nice little deep dive with some of the higher ups at

11:51

twitch and just be like listen, what are you guys doing? I

11:54

think it's outdated right unless you're signing

11:56

unless you're literally just signing an exclusivity

11:58

deal Right, which is fair.

12:01

It's fine and all gonna fund get

12:03

paid get your contract if you you know

12:05

If you can sign something like that, right? I don't even know if

12:07

they're doing those anymore really at a high level But

12:10

I feel like at the end of the day Twitch is just missing

12:12

out on or any platform is missing out on just for

12:15

you know, it's it's kind of putting a little cap

12:17

on the streamer and It

12:19

also putting a cap on their own platform because again,

12:22

they could be pulling viewers elsewhere and and maybe even

12:24

you know Funnelling them back

12:26

to a different platform like you to switch for money.

12:28

Who knows? It's like Hey, you said I deal

12:30

with twitch that all you know, and maybe you

12:32

get like a better cut of it You're allowed

12:34

to multicast but one of the deals is is

12:36

that every once in a while you have to

12:38

say hey guys I'm also live on Twitch as

12:41

well Like my you know, maybe you need to

12:43

say my preferred streaming platform. So like go ahead

12:45

and check me out. I'll follow me there I

12:48

think there's there's still so much Landscape

12:51

like streaming landscape that really hasn't

12:53

even come out yet at

12:56

a high level personally, so that's

12:59

my two cents and everything that I've really learned

13:01

and talked about loved

13:04

about thought about did about with With

13:07

multicasting. I love doing it every day, you

13:10

know, especially as somebody who loves

13:13

streaming to be able to put it out everywhere It's really

13:15

cool. It's really cool. Tick-tock chat can

13:17

be a little ridiculous 9 never sent at the time But

13:19

other than that, it's a lot of fun We're

13:29

in a period of rapid change and sometimes it

13:31

can feel like things are spinning out of control

13:34

With political tensions anxiety and loneliness rising

13:36

and questions about how to live a

13:38

good life on everyone's mind Finding

13:41

answers can seem harder than ever For

13:43

millennia spiritual thinkers have offered wisdom and

13:45

tools to help people find their way

13:47

in trying times Advice that

13:49

even a scientist like me dave disteno is

13:51

finding have a lot to offer To

13:54

join the conversation look for how god

13:56

works wherever you listen to podcasts You

14:00

15:01

15:03

out to Factor for making meal time a breeze.

15:08

All right,

15:14

so my team prepared a little document here. So

15:16

I'm just going to read through these questions off

15:18

and we're just going to pop them off in

15:20

answers. When

15:23

was your first multicast thought? So

15:26

again, retouching on

15:28

this, first thought was 2018, 2019 when we

15:30

made the mixer switch. Jess

15:35

and I had thought about it, planned about

15:37

it, and it was on our mind. And

15:40

then when our Twitch contracts was coming up again

15:42

after we left mixer, after mixer unexpectedly

15:45

concaved within itself or

15:47

imploded, I guess is a better word. We re-signed

15:50

with Twitch. It was beautiful, fun. I

15:53

obviously still love Twitch. Born

15:55

and raised there basically, right? Even before it was

15:57

Twitch, I streamed on Justin TV. That

16:00

was why we were like, okay, listen, let's

16:04

do something different. Let's set the tone again, right?

16:07

Let's break the mold. Let's break the

16:09

streaming mold. And we multicast

16:12

it. I mean, first large streamer to not sign

16:14

an exclusive contract in the next couple of years

16:17

and to just say, screw it, I'm going to

16:19

go live everywhere. I love that. I mean, again,

16:21

just trying to pioneer the way for future generations,

16:23

man, and future streamers out there. We're

16:25

in it right now. We're

16:27

weighing the groundwork

16:31

for the future of streaming with

16:33

all of our decisions. I'm basically talking to all the big

16:36

streamers out there. Another question. Take

16:40

us back to September 2nd, 2022

16:43

when you quit streaming. Was it orchestrated?

16:45

Yes, it was. And I didn't like

16:47

it. I didn't like it. I

16:51

read the pitch and what we were

16:53

going to do, and it came across

16:55

as a mental crisis, and I didn't

16:57

like that. And I

17:00

did it anyways. I regret the

17:02

way we took the break. Would

17:06

have done it differently, for sure. Obviously, no

17:08

one was hurt in

17:10

the filming process. Didn't like it.

17:13

Didn't want to do it. Did it anyways.

17:16

I still believe in what we were doing at the end

17:18

goal, right? Coming back and saying I'm going to be live

17:20

everywhere. But yeah,

17:23

I didn't like the orchestrated plan. Wouldn't

17:26

do it again.

17:29

Tell us about the development of the multicast

17:31

announcement. I mean, it was pretty simple. Just

17:34

me and the team. We were just figuring

17:37

out the best way to tell everybody. I

17:40

was sick with COVID, I think, when

17:42

I filmed that, and I didn't

17:45

want to do it because I was

17:47

like 100 degree fever. I was hot, sweaty, I lost

17:50

my voice. But we did it anyways for the crew,

17:52

for the team. I

17:54

thought the announcement was fun. And I

17:56

absolutely loved working with Andre, who's my

17:58

assistant. right now

18:01

and Victoria who there

18:04

are like social media people and I just

18:06

love to working with them. So I would you

18:09

know it's like working with friends it's the greatest

18:11

if you can because

18:13

everything's just fun even if you don't want to do certain things.

18:18

Where were you in the multicast process at

18:20

that time comfortable or total noob? I was

18:23

a total noob I had no

18:25

idea ReStream even existed I don't even know how

18:27

to multicast at the time I was terrified of

18:29

reading multiple chats at once because it's like my

18:31

chat was already kind of toxic. People

18:34

just constantly saying you know you washed

18:36

up you fell off etc. You know

18:38

the typical 2023 twitch chat

18:41

for a ninja streamer I

18:44

do I'm telling I'm not trying to like boo-hoo

18:47

but dude I have one of the most I

18:49

have one of the most depressing chats like

18:52

across the board I mean every so I'm basically

18:54

being told I've fallen off on four different platforms

18:56

now every day still

18:58

pushing through and trying to put out great content but

19:02

I would say that's definitely one of the

19:04

setbacks if your chat is toxic is that

19:06

you have to read four chat toxic chats

19:09

so that's definitely been a struggle for me just

19:12

trying to stay positive and then

19:14

I look at what I'm doing right obviously I'm

19:16

making a lot of people happy across different platforms

19:19

as well right hopefully the positive outweighs the negative

19:21

but you know all it takes is one bad

19:23

comment and it messes you up more than you

19:25

know a hundred good ones and that sucks but

19:29

it's just uh it's how it is now I've been

19:31

streaming for a very long time and it's still tough

19:33

sometimes to just not let people get to you especially

19:35

if you're having a bad day if you're having a

19:37

bad day and you're streaming it's easier to get

19:39

to the streamer and you could tell they just don't

19:42

look they you can just tell you could see right

19:45

your streaming it's not a youtube video you can't just like

19:47

start the camera on get super

19:50

energetic for an uh you know for a

19:52

30 second take and then turn

19:54

off the camera right you're live for hours you

19:56

see a lot of the vulnerabilities of the streamer

19:58

um And if they're having

20:00

a bad day, it's just so much easier to get another skin.

20:05

Big announcement September 8, 2022, you announced

20:07

that you'll be streaming everywhere.

20:09

Were you nervous? Were you excited?

20:11

Yeah, I got the nits the

20:14

day of. The nits, I

20:16

call those the nervous shits. Got

20:19

them a lot in my competitive career as

20:22

a professional Halo player and Adrian Zun

20:24

player and PUBG player and 4.0

20:26

player. But I

20:28

was nervous. I was excited. And the

20:30

nits were at all time high. Again,

20:33

never multi-streamed once in my life. I

20:36

was felt like a fish out of water for

20:38

a little bit. Felt like I was just trying to read

20:40

everything all at once. It was crazy. Never

20:44

tested multicasting out before making the

20:46

announcement either. So we

20:48

were kind of just playing with fire.

20:50

Like, hey, let's hope it works. My assistant

20:52

Andre did everything that he could to make

20:54

sure that we would be prepared. He tested

20:57

multicasting out on his account. So

20:59

we were confident. But it

21:02

was, it was

21:04

risky. So

21:07

straight up, how are you liking multicasting? I'm absolutely loving

21:09

it. I'm absolutely loving it.

21:12

It's probably one of the reasons I'm still

21:14

streaming because it's so fun. And

21:17

it's so cool to just read, you know, just to

21:19

see the different ebbs and flows of different chats and

21:22

being able to stream for everyone all the time everywhere. It's

21:24

great. What are the benefits and

21:27

drawbacks? What are the key benefits and drawbacks

21:29

you've encountered in streaming simultaneously across multiple platforms?

21:32

The benefits, I mean, more viewers. More

21:35

viewers are going to have access to more people. I think

21:39

that, and that's going

21:41

to give you more power over what you're

21:44

demanding or what you can request from sponsors, right?

21:46

Your asks can go up because your reaches

21:49

is growing and there you go, you're allowed

21:51

to charge more or, you

21:53

know, make more. So it really does put the power back

21:55

in the streamers hands in a lot of ways.

21:57

A Drawback again.

22:00

You're reading a lot of shots

22:02

can be toxic. Can. Be very

22:04

bad for your mental health if you're in alphabet. Yeah,

22:06

what a bad day in your eating five different. Chattel.

22:08

Talking smack or something. Can. Be

22:11

bad. Doesn't totals respect them?

22:14

Drawbacks. I see like a off the top of

22:16

my head. Crazy. Are

22:21

you never getting your streams amidst the ever

22:23

changing nature? social media streaming? I mean, I'm

22:25

not. About his anything. Other

22:29

than. Just. When. People.

22:31

Try to. I think I could better all the time

22:34

outside it's not as much anymore you know since the

22:36

I will call today falling off inning. I've

22:38

had some risk is baffling. To

22:42

comedic. And we're not getting click

22:44

bait and by and having like thousand articles written about us

22:46

like we were in the past. Which. Is

22:48

phenomenal and actually eat very stress

22:50

relieving like. Did.

22:53

I love it alike in our yeah I would

22:55

not want to be and like a hassan position

22:57

right where it like he farts at the wrong

22:59

in the wind and there's like a thousand articles

23:01

attacking him. Same. With. Who

23:05

else is on a same with that guy? As you see all those

23:07

guys are another you. Know

23:09

Thank you. I. Like the

23:11

spot. kind of like right here did. Zero

23:14

that my entire career. The throw that minds higher

23:16

Like the last Eight Eight year. Okay, so mean

23:18

the last eight years. The first eight years of

23:21

my swimming career. I was anywhere

23:23

from. The thousand viewers to

23:25

halo. To. Anymore for maybe

23:27

ten to sixteen thousand on like poverty rates

23:29

in the one. And that

23:31

was seat those peak bag. Weren't.

23:34

Getting touch some by mainstream media. No

23:37

one gave a shit about you unless you

23:39

you know you did some crazy shit. And

23:41

that's it. The perfect place to be and I feel like were there again. Which.

23:44

Is great. Accepted this now because

23:47

I feel like badass art. podcasts

23:49

are kind of listen to by

23:51

everyone, whereas streams necessarily are are

23:53

in a way. This. Is

23:55

making sense of my head? But. I

23:58

do like topics that I touch on. here are

24:01

kind of back in that same like it's up for

24:03

grabs. Anyone can kind of poke and prod at it

24:05

and we might get taken out of context. Hopefully we don't get taken

24:07

out of context in any of the things that we talk about here,

24:09

but we'll find out. Diverse

24:13

audiences. Have you noticed different audience behaviors on

24:16

various streaming platforms? I

24:18

will say that when you super chat

24:20

and donate on YouTube, it auto-corrects to

24:22

or it, you know, it auto-donates in

24:24

the currency that people are donating to. I've

24:27

found that there's just a lot of people all

24:29

over the world that are watching me on YouTube

24:32

and probably watching me on Twitch as well, but there's really

24:34

no way of telling where they're from on Twitch. So

24:37

that's what I've noticed about different audiences

24:39

really, but nothing crazy. How

24:43

do you engage with these diverse viewer

24:45

groups? I mean, I just game. My

24:47

entire content has always been be entertaining,

24:50

be funny, and be talented at the game that you're

24:52

playing. And like, that's just fun to

24:54

watch. And I think it is. I

24:56

think it is. I've

24:58

swore by that my entire life as

25:01

a streamer, like the best way

25:03

to be entertaining is to be really good at a

25:05

video game. It's the same thing with like the

25:07

NFL, the NBA. There are billions

25:10

of people watching other

25:13

people play sports because

25:15

they can't be that good and it's fun

25:17

to watch. And I take that concept

25:20

and I've applied it to streaming. And

25:23

that's in every aspect of streaming. I mean,

25:25

if you're the best pianist, violinist, rapper,

25:29

editor, musician, artist, gamer,

25:32

pub G player, H1Z1 player, Halo

25:35

player, Call of Duty player, Hello,

25:37

Katie Island player. You

25:39

have something to offer and people want to watch and learn

25:41

from you or will. And

25:44

like, you don't even have to be entertaining. You can

25:46

be as dull as a brick wall. But

25:48

if you're that talented, like that is a

25:50

form of entertainment. So people ask

25:53

me, how do I blow my stream up? And

25:55

I Jokingly say, but also very seriously say,

25:57

be better than everyone else at the game

25:59

you're playing. And I mean it. Which

26:03

audience is my favorite? in which had is

26:05

my favorite Me I feel I guess one

26:07

the same question I have to say to

26:10

it's sat still the community there. Is.

26:13

Just. Ah, they

26:15

understand means they understand jokes. They

26:17

understand. Streaming. So.

26:20

It would still re it rains predicting their.

26:25

If we scroll down almost done, almost don't

26:27

our second ever episode of this is weird

26:29

by the way. For those, I appreciate every

26:31

one of the as are tuning in. Wherever.

26:34

You're tuning and is my second of a solo

26:36

podcast. so up the recording on actually alone the

26:38

time nobody seeing at the questions for me. So.

26:41

Hopefully these get better, more fluid and

26:43

have the Yazidis the enjoying so far.

26:47

Multitasking for up and comers. Deeply multitasking

26:49

could be beneficial for up and coming

26:51

content creators or is it more suited

26:53

for established streamers? What said people prepare

26:56

for if they decide to do it.

26:59

I think it's absolutely for for all.

27:02

Again, If your

27:04

body shaming the have a higher chance of being discovered.

27:06

If. You're also. Creating. Content.

27:09

As a good benefits. On

27:11

established streamer more because they can already

27:14

take one of their audiences and kind

27:16

of brush them a be a brush

27:18

them everywhere. Kind of get

27:20

them off the one viewer list across all the

27:22

other platforms and then maybe also start to get

27:25

more viewers that way, so I think it's easier

27:27

to multitask if you're already established. I

27:29

still recommend doing it if you're new. Especially

27:32

Six Oct. Six Rock is the silent.

27:34

Like that, the silent killer. But like.

27:37

That's. A place for you to just go viral for

27:39

the the things. And if you're producing

27:41

really funny and interesting tanzanite, you all.

27:44

He. A one big viral strain. Ten thousand

27:46

viewers are followers, you know, send a mere

27:48

mainstream and. And all his you

27:50

may be averaging fifty to honor viewers on twitter, kicker,

27:52

you, tube or whatever and now you're like. You.

27:55

Know I really picking up some momentum so.

27:58

Definitely. What I recommend: What

28:00

did you prepare for? Ah,

28:02

just dass das hard. It's

28:05

tough. it's stressful. Ah

28:07

when you start reading other chats being

28:09

I'm. Be my the mother the

28:11

once it it just it just feels different use of

28:13

the try it and you'll figure it out. In

28:15

the exactly what I'm talking about. It's. Very

28:17

different feeling. And

28:21

other future of multitasking. What

28:23

does ninjas future of multi

28:25

casting look like? Rumbles Kick?

28:27

perhaps? So. In

28:30

a perfect world. Not. Joking.

28:32

This. Is my this is my my endgame business idea

28:34

I did they are going to share but i myself

28:37

cause i. Don't. Care Binding. When.

28:39

It comes as us. Anymore? Really? My.

28:42

Ultimate goal was. Getting paid

28:44

to stream elsewhere. Little

28:46

many contracts. Okay,

28:50

For Geico, many contracts.

28:52

To multitask for example, right now. I'm.

28:55

Streaming everywhere, Right for free. No one

28:57

thing. I get paid on you to because

28:59

I have a they allow me to be sub there

29:01

and to get ad revenue and subs but I'm

29:03

not getting paid by choice to three months which obviously.

29:06

You can subscribe to me on so it's you can't

29:08

donate to me on Twitter. You can't. I

29:10

have no ad revenue from Twitch. I don't get

29:12

paid to three months or talk. I don't get

29:14

paid to stream on kick right? So

29:17

the goal was. To.

29:21

Eventually be like hey I will stream

29:23

on your platform. Like

29:26

you could get me. It's. Not an

29:28

exclusivity deal. It's a non exclusive deal

29:30

to multicast the Oh I will add

29:32

you to my list. Of streaming

29:34

platforms for money. On

29:37

of thousand dollars. A year

29:39

Two hundred thousand dollars a year A

29:41

million dollars a year to what your

29:43

whatever as you you're worth is whatever

29:46

your value as. You bring

29:48

value to the platform bi re like.

29:50

They like look at x you see Scapa

29:52

the. Know he's an example of somebody

29:55

who's doing that not exclusive deal with kick. The.

29:57

idea though is is exactly what trying

30:00

to do and I recommend others try to do in the

30:02

future and streamers everywhere because I think it's very possible. You

30:04

go to Facebook and you're like, hey, listen, like I have

30:06

10,000 viewers on Twitch. I have 20,000 viewers on Twitch, 30,

30:08

40, 50, whatever. I

30:11

have a thousand. I will add your platform

30:13

to my list for a

30:16

fee. It's genius.

30:19

And it's like, again, it doesn't have to be a crazy amount

30:21

of money. It doesn't have to be, you know,

30:24

egregious, but you add two

30:26

to three small contracts to

30:29

your multicast list. All of a

30:31

sudden you're streaming everywhere.

30:33

You're getting donated to and paid for everywhere,

30:35

right? You're getting subs everywhere. You're getting ad

30:37

revenue on five different platforms. You're

30:41

getting all the viewership from all the platforms

30:44

and you're getting paid to do it everywhere. Like

30:47

talk about the dream, talk

30:50

about full control. And that's

30:52

where my mind. We're

31:07

in a period of rapid change and sometimes it

31:09

can feel like things are spinning out of control

31:12

with political tensions, anxiety and loneliness rising

31:14

and questions about how to live a

31:16

good life on everyone's mind. Finding

31:19

answers can seem harder than ever. For

31:21

millennia, political thinkers have offered wisdom

31:23

and tools to help people find their way in

31:26

trying times. Advice that even a

31:28

scientist like me, Dave DeSteno, is finding have

31:30

a lot to offer. To

31:32

32:17

Closing thoughts, ladies and gentlemen, advice for

32:19

creators, based on your multicasting experience, what

32:21

advice would you offer to content

32:24

creators looking to embark on a similar journey? I

32:26

feel like we already touched on this. Go

32:29

for it, go

32:31

for it, give it your all. Believe

32:35

in yourself and

32:39

don't quit your job to stream. That just kind

32:41

of popped into my head. I've seen people do it before. This

32:45

is like a little random piece of advice, guys. There

32:48

are 24 hours in a day. If you're sleeping six

32:50

to eight hours, working another eight hours, you have another

32:52

eight hours, right, to

32:54

do something. You can stream

32:56

three to four hours and

32:59

build a community that way if you're consistent with your

33:01

schedule. You do not need to quit your job. You

33:03

do not need to quit school to

33:05

start your streaming career for a year,

33:07

which is what so many people, I feel like, try to

33:09

do. You can

33:12

gauge and get a really good read

33:14

on your streaming career while you are

33:16

living your life without having

33:18

to make any crazy changes. So

33:21

that's just my piece of advice.

33:23

There's my advice for creators. It's

33:26

hot. And

33:35

that was the first off with my favorite segment.

33:38

We do this on our guests. We'll be doing this

33:40

in the solos. We had some people send in some

33:42

this or that rapid fire questions. So

33:44

we're gonna rip it. This

33:47

or that, single cast or multicast? We're gonna

33:49

go multicast. It's way more fun. If

33:52

you're somebody who has got severe, crippling

33:54

ADHD, ADD, you already know what

33:56

it is. All my millennials out there.

34:00

I love being able to read several chats at a

34:02

time. It keeps me going, keeps me occupied. Two

34:05

PC or one PC setup? Double

34:07

PC setup, you gotta take all the load, if you can afford

34:09

it. You got, I don't care

34:11

how strong your PC is streaming, especially

34:14

at a high level 10,000 bit rate, 1080p, while

34:17

you're playing a game, and

34:20

you have chats running and memory leakage from

34:22

all these other apps, blah, blah, blah, blah,

34:24

blah. You gotta have a double PC setup

34:26

at a high level if you

34:28

can afford it and you're making really good money because

34:31

you got a game on one stream on the other, two PC setup,

34:33

100%. Ketchup or

34:36

ranch? That's a ranch. Boxes

34:38

or briefs? Briefs, one

34:41

million percent, always and forever, dude. You

34:43

gotta keep that thing locked and comforted.

34:48

Boxers, this just dangling. Don't

34:50

like it. Guacamole or salsa?

34:55

Ooh, Jess, okay, I'm gonna go with my wife's

34:57

salsa. Jess makes some incredible salsa. So

35:00

I'm gonna have to go with salsa. Wedding,

35:02

oh my God, Jesus Christ. Weddings

35:04

or funerals? Just kidding, birthdays. Neither,

35:07

dude. I

35:10

think weddings are beautiful. But I

35:12

mean, as I

35:14

get older, I like birthdays

35:16

less and less, so. Jesus.

35:21

Hot coffee or iced coffee? Iced coffee, 100%. I'll

35:23

drink an iced coffee, negative

35:26

10 degrees out in Illinois, middle of winter. Don't

35:28

care. I love my cold brews. You can't, you

35:30

hear this, guys? All

35:32

right, I don't know if you know if you can't. You can't,

35:34

I just spilled coffee on me. Trying to

35:36

get this coffee to proc the mic. Iced

35:38

coffee, always, cold coffee,

35:40

always. Kids tables or adult

35:42

tables? I feel like every

35:45

table I'm at is the kids table, no matter what,

35:47

because I'm a child at heart and I have a

35:49

goof off all the time when it comes to weddings,

35:51

kids tables or dinner, whatever the case may be. So

35:54

I guess I'll say adult tables, but

35:57

you know, kid at heart. Babies

36:00

dressed as animals or animals dressed as

36:02

humans. Babies dressed as animals,

36:04

there's nothing more adorable than a cute little baby

36:06

in a tiny little giraffe

36:08

outfit. Right? Like a

36:10

little lion for Halloween, it's adorable. Liquor

36:15

or beer? Beer?

36:18

I love a good cold beer.

36:22

I've been getting super into sours.

36:26

I'm kind of fading away from the IPAs.

36:28

I've been like, I love a good half-half-ice

36:30

and half-half-ice and love a good

36:32

half-half-ice. So I'm going to go with beer

36:35

for sure. Sort

36:37

by price or sort by rating? I

36:39

feel like I'm being targeted. I

36:41

sort by price. And

36:44

then I sort by rating. But I

36:46

sort by price and you're done. And then we're done

36:48

here. Favorite

37:01

childhood cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants.

37:07

OG SpongeBob. You can't even, you can't.

37:09

Get away from me. OG

37:11

SpongeBob, nothing pops it. Your

37:14

favorite streaming service right now. Netflix, Hulu,

37:16

etc. I

37:18

still got to go with Netflix. I just got some bangers on there. I

37:21

love, dude, Uncanny Counter and Sweet

37:23

Home. Woo. Give

37:26

them a watch. Favorite

37:28

reality TV show? Reality

37:31

TV. What?

37:38

I don't really watch a lot of reality TV. But I

37:40

mean, would you say like, why

37:44

am I forgetting this? RuPaul's Drag Race, but that's

37:46

not really reality TV. But

37:48

it kind of is. So I love

37:50

watching that with Jess and her

37:52

friend Amanda. Favorite

37:54

impression right now? Patrick.

38:00

I love Patrick Star. I feel like I've been rocking people

38:03

38:05

38:27

recommend if you can torrent it. I don't care how

38:29

you get it It's very expensive right now if you

38:31

buy the game online like from

38:33

like Amazon or you know, somebody reselling

38:36

it Because obviously the game

38:38

is just so old and it's not in the PlayStation Network

38:41

Legend of the guy I got

38:43

are spinning out

With political tensions, anxiety, and loneliness rising,

40:27

and questions about how to live the
