In this episode, we discuss how for years the only images we see repeated of 55+ are TV drug commercials, and depressing, extreme images of physical and cognitive decline. It seems baby-boomers had become the invisible generation. We're treated as though we lose our worth as we age even though we have more experience and knowledge to offer. Not to mention we are the spending power, the voting power and soon-to-be majority of America. 

But all of that is slowly but unmistakably changing!

We're starting to see more visibility, more understanding, more respect, more solution-driven products and many more positive images we can relate to and be inspired by. With the showing of 60+ actresses nominated or winning awards at the Oscars-- Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeou, and Jamie Lee Curtis. And the rise of 55+ women being viewed as beautiful and aspirational on the cover of magazines like Maye Musk on the cover of Sports Illustrated, Carmen Dell'orefice on the cover of Vogue and Iris Apfel on the cover of Harper's Bazaar for her 100th birthday!

And we're starting to see a shift of industries being invented around the needs of baby-boomers, so we can “customize” our lives.
