I never thought “zany” and “creepy” could work together, but it looks great on Ain’t Slayed Nobody! Hilarious and dark and great audio effects.
I have continued to listen to this podcast and it has gotten even better! All of the players are excellent story tellers and their chemistry and humor is amazing! Definitely one of the better Call of Cthulu actual play podcasts that I've listened to!
Enjoy this podcast more than I can express. The characters are interesting and the acting/Roleplaying excellent. The situations and laughter of the players is infectious and appropriate. The story is serious, and fun. Thrills, chills, laughs and scares. Can not recommend this enough. Have told everyone who enjoys a good story whether western, Cthulhu, or just plain good entertainment. Professional production. Excellent sound and effects/music. Particularly enjoying the characters with their distinct accents. This podcast led me to many others, but this is still my favorite.
I love this show! Great roleplaying, great production, and the setting... OMG this Call of Cthulhu setting is just THE setting.
Really impressed by the use of sound on the show! The chemistry between the players is great, too, which makes the humor really natural.
Got into this by chance and it's become my favorite rpg podcast by far!
I love Call of Cthulhu and the wild west, so you can imagine my excitement finding a podcast with both. The characters and players are really enjoyable as is the GM’s ability to build a spooky atmosphere while keeping with the humor of the players. Jeremiah is my favorite so far, and I can’t wait for more episodes!
I highly recommend this hilarious and harrowing jaunt down darker trails of the Old West. Rich characters in a horror adventure that goes places where you're like: "Damn, I think I the listener will join you in that sanity check." You'll be chomping at the bit for more.
I'm not that far into it yet, but it's fun to listen to. I like how the guys really put on voices to distinguish between their characters (I have trouble distinguishing voices sometimes). All their characters have fun personalities and the players do a good job of fleshing out their PCs and acting as their character would.
Do you like cosmic horror? You want eerie atmosphere and an addictiv story? Maybe you also want lots of laughs and delightful/wacky/loveable characters? But most of all you want a very talented cast, a sublime keeper, and a extremely well produced podcast? Well, - You got it all here. Enjoy the ride!
Creative, hilarious, with surprisingly good production values for a small pod and amazing voice acting.
Great actual play podcast that does a phenomenal job of creating atmosphere using fantastic sound work and editing. The cast is funny, excited to play, and you'd never guess this is predominantly a first time group. If you like actual play and things on the spookier side, you owe it to yourself to check out Ain't Slayed.
Very fun, very eerie at times, wonderful voice acting too!
This Call of Cthulu podcast perfectly blends horror and comedy. The players each create characters that we can root for, and worry about as the skillful keeper guides them through a journey of madness and mayhem. The regular episodes sound great and have since episode 1, and so do the bonus episode one-shots. This is currently my favorite TTRPG podcast.
Truly an amazing podcast with a group of folks that play cohesively and one hell of an editor. Can't wait to see what the future holds! Good luck out there!
Absolutely one of the best TTRPG podcasts, such an amazing story and great production. Perfection.
The cast all blends together phenomenally and the story is top notch weird!
Holy cow. Long ago, I wrote off role playing podcasts like this because the quality was so poor and they were mostly 1 minute of interesting action for every hour of audio. But, having not played or run CoC before, I wanted to see what some other people were doing with it.Ain't Slayed Nobody has completely changed my mind on the concept, and I might go looking at some other more recent podcasts to give them a try, too.The music and sound effects are present but not overbearing; perfectly mixed. The characters speak with different voices, so it's easy to know who is speaking. The humor - god damn - this crew is something else. And the story? It's good stuff.
