Blake Novy, M.D. interviews Akeem Sule, M.B.B.S. on the topics of hip hop, film, and Black Culture, as it relates to mental health. Dr. Sule is a co-founder of Hip Hop Psych, a social venture designed to bridge the gap between the medical community and hip hop culture. Additional topics discussed include structural racism, using film and music for psychoeducation, and creative approaches to patient encounters, among other topics.
