In the children's memories, they undergo operations and explore their psychic powers under the supervision of lab technicians. In the present, they explain to Kaneda that they have called Akira to help them deal with Tetsuo. With Curtis Bloes.
Kaneda moves from Tetsuo's memories to memories of Takashi, Masaru, Kiyoko, and Akira as children. With Curtis Bloes.
Within the bubble created by Akira, Kaneda floats among the wreckage of the city and then enters into Tetsuo's memories. With Curtis Bloes.
The psychic children decide to sacrifice themselves by going into the expanding white bubble to save Kaneda. With Curtis Bloes.
Kiyoko teleports Colonel Shikishima to safety as an expanding white bubble threatens to engulf both Tetsuo and Kaneda. With Curtis Bloes.
Tetsuo almost engulfs the Colonel and the psychic children, but the canisters break open and Akira appears. With Eric Ambler.
By shooting through it with his laser gun, Kaneda manages to escape the ever-growing mass of flesh that Tetsuo has become. The fountain of flesh approaches Colonel Shikishima, who tries to warn the psychic children. Meanwhile Dr. Onishi stares
Tetsuo's body reaches out and engulfs Kaori and Kaneda. The psychic children sit concentrating in front of the Akira samples. Tetsuo pleads for help from Kaneda as his body crushes Kaori to death. With Eric Ambler.
Kaneda scores a laser shot which Tetsuo deflects with his new metal arm. Kiyoko heralds the coming of Akira as the sample jars begin to bubble. Tetsuo's body suddenly grows monstrously huge. With Eric Ambler.
Kaneda grazes Tetsuo with a laser cannon shot. The psychic children appear on the scene. With Eric Ambler.
Tetsuo's arm expands out toward and almost engulfs Colonel Shikishima, but retracts when Kaneda, appearing on his bike at the opposite end of the stadium, hits with a laser bolt. With Duncan Shields.
Tetsuo's new arm starts to grow out of control and eat into his concrete throne. Colonel Shikishima appears and tries to convince Tetsuo to return to the lab. With Duncan Shields.
As Colonel Shikishima climbs the rubble into the stadium, Kaori reunites with Tetsuo and sees that he has a strange metal hand. With Duncan Shields.
Kaneda and Kai charge some laser gun batteries with Kai's motorcycle. Kaori climbs the steps of the stadium toward Tetsuo. With Duncan Shields.
Dr. Onishi unsuccessfully tries to share with Colonel Shikishima his enthusiasm over his observations of Tetsuo. With Duncan Shields.
Tetsuo creates a new arm for himself. Kiyoko speculates on changing the future. The Conolel asks Dr. Onishi for an update. With Sean Davis.
Blasts from SOL hit several places in the Olympic site. Kaneda meets Kai and Kei. SOL then breaks up as it falls into the atmosphere. With Sean Davis.
Kaneda tries to attack Tetsuo with a rock. Tetsuo flies into space. With Sean Davis.
Tetsuo loses his arm when hit with a shot from the Satellite Orbital Laser. Kai arrives on the scene. With Sean Davis.
Kaneda's laser gun runs out of power. With Sean Davis.
Kaneda and Tetsuo fight, pitting a laser gun against telekinetic powers. With Travis Bow.
As Tetsuo is examining his collection of Akira organs, Kaneda arrives. They fall back into their old dynamic. With Travis Bow.
Colonel Shikishima decides to use SOL against Tetsuo. Kaneda leaves the highway to enter the Olympic grounds. Kai has trouble getting through the crowd. Tetsuo examines the jars containing Akira's organs. With Travis Bow.
Tetsuo opens the inner container and discovers all that's left of Akira is a set of organs preserved in jars. With Travis Bow.
The Akira storage chamber rises from the ground and falls to pieces. Kei is thrown from the wreckage. Tetsuo walks out of the clearing smoke to the inner container in the middle of the rubble. With Travis Bow.
