Hector Goudreau, Alberta’s employment minister says the province could find itself short 110,000 workers over the next decade unless government and industry start thinking of new ways to attract and retain workers. The province is currently between 30,000 to 40,000 workers short in all fields of employment.
He made the comments prior to announcing a new provincial immigration initiative that would allow Albertans to fast-track family members with a post-secondary education and work experience to come here.
