The Host and Co-host will be interviewing Ralph Blackman, CEO of the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility. We will explore with our guest the areas of preventing underage drinking, binge drinking and alcohol overuse and misuse. Programs and approaches that have proven effective in bringing rates of underage drinking down over the past several years will be highlighted. Particular attention will be given to the critical role parents play in preventing their children and teens from consuming alcohol. Tips for parents on how to talk to their children about alcohol will be shared. The need for ongoing, comprehensive approaches including school based programs, community based youth organizations, faith based groups and use of social media in order to implement successful prevention efforts will be reviewed.
