This is Day 8 of Being at Peace with Being at Home. We've spent 7 days talking about managing ourselves mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Are you ready to go deeper? Next we're diving into some awesome books. Today we're discussing ideas from The Soul's Code by James Hillman. This episode is a little longer. I read part of his introduction and discuss his acorn theory for personhood, and how Plato's myth about the soul can help us change the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves and our children.

Today's practical exercise is to relax with your kids and create an emotional environment in your home where they can be themselves and enjoy the extra space to feel into their uniqueness. Watch them with an open mind and heart. Use this time to see them with fresh eyes. Pray for insights into the innate imprint and divine calling in them, and look for ways to cultivate it.
