I finally sat down to watch What the Health and the main thing I have to say about it is:  I'm sick of these food and health documentaries.

I'm sick of the intentional misinformation or cherry picking of facts. I'm sick of them counting on the viewer taking what they say at face value and not doing their own research to verify and confirm the so-called facts. I'm sick of them interviewing black, brown, poor, and sick people without addressing their own implicit bias or intersectionality of the single issue they're so passionate about. I'm sick of all the revisionist history of human evolution. I'm sick of the moral superiority. I'm sick of them not telling the truth.  They're all recycling the same information to push whatever agenda they have, and no one is really being honest about the core of the problem they're speaking out against.

I had several working titles for this episode and so much I wanted to talk about (are vegan diets sustainable/realistic in the long-term? / did this fool really just say sugar doesn't cause diabetes? / did they really just poverty pimp the black and low-income communities like these folks haven't been dealing with environmental racism and disenfranchisement from day one?),  until I realized that until we start addressing the elephant in the room,  no amount of dietary change is going to change the food system or our collective health.
