Listen to the latest episode of All Things Mental Health with Mike Brose to hear Mike's conversation with Lanny Endicott, his friend, mentor and first social work professor. Hear what it was like for Mike and Lanny to travel to Poland to offer aid and support to Ukrainian refugees.

Also, here's a message from Mike about his life-changing trip:

Dear friends,

Many of you have asked about my trip to Poland earlier this summer to work with Ukrainian refugees escaping the war in their native Ukraine.  The short summary is that under Lanny Endicott’s leadership and under the auspices of Southern Hills Baptist Church a team of 7 (including myself) headed out for Poland to work with a ministry there in Tomasow Mazowiecka, Poland (pop. 70,000).  We worked there with wonderful Polish people who are leaders in the PROEM church and ministry based there in Tomasow.  We went there with an open mind to help in any way possible and needed. But our request was to work with the trauma affecting these people if there was an opportunity to do so. Under PROEM’s guidance our team of 7 was placed living with a group of Ukrainian refugees in an old hotel in Tomasow.  What ensued was an amazing experience of growing friendship, love and work with an amazing group of Ukrainian people who experienced significant trauma from their experiences.  The video you can access from the link below allows these resilient people to tell the story of what happened and is still happening in the hotel and in their lives much better than I can. I hope you take the time to watch this short video and get a chance to meet some of our Ukrainian friends.  If you are looking for a reliable place to support the plight of Ukrainians who have had to escape with their lives and very little else, please check out PROEM.  This ministry and the people who lead it and work there are the real deal.  Thanks so much, Mike Brose
