In Part 2 of the Dr Shirley Turner case, we will go over the events that lead up to the murder of her toddler son and suicide, and how it deeply affected the grandparents David + Kathleen Bagby. Zachary Andrew Turner was just 13 months old at the time of his murder. Turner had been recently released on bail and awarded custody of the child, even though she was in the process of being extradited to the United States to stand trial for the murder of Zachary's father, Andrew Bagby. The case led to a critical overview of Newfoundland's legal and child welfare systems as well as Canada's bail laws.
