The story of the Nativity Scene dates back to Saint Francis of Assisi. His desire was to bring the story of the birth of Christ to a tangible form in order to make the message relatable. These were the days when men and women hallowed the name of Jesus, honored the presence of God and took scripture to be the Word of God. In the 21st Century, we find that political agendas and personal ideologies decide whether or not there should even be a manager scene. The courage it takes for one to stand for righteousness is often dismissed by those who have little respect for God and His creation. Yet, millions still rise and come to the knowledge of the saving power of Jesus. The world has yet to see the power God is releasing in the earth to let the world know Jesus is the Son of God! Jesus, the Son of God born of a virgin, baptized of John the Baptist, tempted by the Devil, healed and delivered thousands is not a myth. He went about doing good and healed all that were oppressed because God was with Him (Acts 10:38). Not only was God with Him, but God was in Him as Him. The Manger is not a myth. His birth is not a fairytale and His life was not taken; it was given.“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son; that whosoever believe in Him should not parish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). He was called Emmanuel meaning God with us. He is called Christ the Anointed One. He is Jesus the Savior of the world! I invite you to come to know Him as your Savior and Lord. He is willing to come live inside of your heart and be your friend that sticks closer to you than anyone on this earth. He will make His home inside of you and will never leave nor forsake you. Prayer: Father forgive me of my sins. I ask that you would come into my heart and make me your child. I want to be Born again. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that you were born of a virgin, walked this earth to show us the Father. I believe you died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. I believe you are seated at the right hand of God ready to live inside of anyone who will ask you.
