Hey friends, what's going on? How are you

0:03

doing today? Welcome to this moment in your

0:05

life. Welcome to this

0:08

moment in your life. Well, I'm going

0:10

to do a podcast that's just all

0:12

that of me just continuing to say

0:14

that on repeat for, I don't know,

0:16

five hours. That's

0:18

what it takes sometimes. That's what

0:21

it takes. You know, it's so easy to get distracted

0:24

and have your

0:26

brain get sucked into the future

0:29

or the past or somewhere

0:31

in between those things or in some

0:34

layer of the present that doesn't actually exist.

0:38

And so maybe we all need a little

0:40

voice following us around saying

0:43

now, now, now. But

0:48

anyway, yeah, I hope that you're doing good right now

0:50

in this moment of your life. I hope that you're

0:52

feeling all right. Yeah,

0:56

today on this solo

0:58

podcast for you, what I want to talk about

1:00

is something I've been thinking

1:02

about for a while that I don't

1:05

really see addressed anywhere

1:08

really. And

1:10

that's about, and this really just

1:12

came from me observing myself,

1:15

my own experience, just like all the things

1:17

I think and talk about. Like

1:20

I said before, I'm the Jane Goodall of

1:23

my own consciousness, just mapping

1:25

my internal experience, studying

1:27

my brain, seeing what's going on

1:29

and reporting back. But

1:33

this one is like, I'm not

1:35

really an emotional person by

1:38

nature. I

1:41

am about as, you know,

1:45

you're not going to see

1:47

me frolicking through a field anytime soon. And

1:52

by that, I just mean that, Yeah,

1:55

I'm generally just a high logic,

1:58

low emotion person. Does.

2:00

Not deserve it all. Feel things

2:02

soon. As you said mine, emotion

2:04

dynamics are a lot more. Ah,

2:09

Home and slows. Then

2:11

I think. Most

2:14

people's. In

2:17

the interesting way also that. The.

2:21

Timeline in which I see oh

2:23

things. Rise slowly

2:25

and and sade slowly. And.

2:28

They never get very intense

2:30

in either direction. And

2:33

I knew in in conversely and

2:36

some people have. Extreme

2:38

emotional peaks. Zed

2:41

come and go and house

2:43

thirty seconds to feeling extremely

2:46

one way. And

2:48

then thirty seconds later, they're completely back

2:50

to normal. And me trying

2:52

to imagine what that's like it seems

2:54

like a be very disorienting. But

2:58

of course to person is used to it, I'm sure

3:00

they just roll with it. And.

3:02

I imagine if one of those

3:04

people would listen to me talking

3:06

about how even Keel I feel.

3:09

They might find now I see. So.

3:12

The were all. We. All

3:15

experience as this a spectrum months.

3:19

Internal. Ah, circuitry and

3:21

is on course and that time

3:23

and we'll explain stuff differently. But

3:27

for it for years of in for

3:29

them most of my life I was

3:31

really out of tune. Was.

3:34

When I was feeling and

3:36

that was intentional, he knows

3:38

intentional because whenever I was

3:41

younger because of my environment,

3:43

I armored myself heavily and

3:45

detached from my emotions and

3:48

became very intellectual and forge

3:50

this type of inner strength

3:52

kind of. Also

3:54

created distance at the same time

3:56

so they could be self reliant.

4:00

And strong Chino. And.

4:03

Really strong. Very Strong is

4:05

a. It's. A complicated

4:08

word. On. May

4:11

be. Stable.

4:15

In the face of turbulence is a

4:17

better way to say it. And

4:20

as I got older i

4:23

into my teens and twenties

4:25

I looked at emotions then

4:28

as. Ah, a

4:30

weakness. honestly. I

4:33

just thought of them as like.

4:35

Meaningless. Animal.

4:40

Reactionary. Childless type

4:42

of things. Of

4:44

course you I realized event so that when

4:46

i was doing was. Coming.

4:48

Up with a story to. Support.

4:51

My own. Repressed

4:54

emotions and ceilings said.

4:58

I didn't want to face. Or.

5:00

Didn't know how to face. And

5:03

as I got older. Even.

5:05

Still, I'm meal matured into

5:07

getting in touch with those

5:09

things seem the seal my

5:12

emotions more. And.

5:14

Damn. Near

5:16

eventually being able to access

5:18

them. And.

5:24

I didn't realize that after spending

5:27

some time kind of living more

5:29

connected to that part of myself

5:31

said. You.

5:34

I had dismiss apprehension about emotions and

5:36

I think said. He. Boy

5:38

in general have a misapprehension.

5:42

And as it somehow emotions are

5:44

kind of like this inconvenience. You.

5:47

Know people say like i don't

5:49

want to feel motion right now

5:51

or I'd yeah, I'm sick of

5:54

feeling this way or I would

5:56

will don't want to feel anything

5:58

right now or whatever. The news.

6:02

And this misunderstanding. that like

6:04

we've been groomed to. Believe

6:06

that are motions or for other people or

6:09

some now. You. Know a lot

6:11

of flight ulcers in the entertainment industry,

6:13

social media. All these saints have. As.

6:16

Crane be able to think like our emotions

6:18

are for other people, like we should be

6:20

signaling things to other people. We.

6:23

Should be using them to show

6:25

people how we feel as opposed

6:27

to our words to communicate what

6:29

we're feeling. This podcast is

7:51

8:13

five zero at

8:16

factormeals.com slash hit me

8:18

50 to get 50% off. And

8:21

so anyway, you know, we have

8:24

this odd relationship with

8:26

our emotions whenever really they

8:29

exist to help us, you know,

8:31

they exist. And this is something that I

8:33

just realized over time. They

8:36

are trying to communicate something to

8:38

us about our human experience. They

8:42

just, you know, they're like our thoughts. They

8:44

just speak a different language, right? They're

8:48

trying to tell us something

8:51

that we've yet to realize in intellectual

8:54

terms. And

8:58

so yes, we may, you know,

9:00

complete some like project that

9:03

we're working on and then feel really good about

9:05

it. But there's so

9:07

much more to it than just feeling good

9:09

about it. In

9:12

a very deep, profound way,

9:14

our emotions are communicating to

9:17

us symbolically that we

9:20

have cultivated meaning, that

9:22

we have successfully identified

9:24

something that's meaningful to us in

9:27

our lives, followed it through,

9:29

opened ourselves up to it, and

9:33

then built something meaningful, you

9:35

know, through our actions in

9:37

our lives. It's so much more than just

9:39

saying, oh, it feels good to do that. It's like, no, it's

9:42

way deeper than that. And that

9:44

good feeling, it contains that wisdom

9:46

if we're open enough

9:48

to listen. You

9:51

know, on the other hand, if we go to get

9:53

a fourth glass of

9:56

wine at some point, then

10:01

and we

10:03

feel a little kind of heavy on the way

10:06

there, it's our

10:08

emotions communicating to us like hey you know

10:12

it's not just a heavy feeling of like

10:14

maybe I shouldn't have another one it's

10:17

a emotional feeling but

10:19

of wisdom going the

10:23

reason you're feeling resistance is

10:25

because you know that you're

10:27

using that extra glass

10:29

or two of wine to numb

10:32

something in your life that you don't

10:34

want to acknowledge. You

10:37

know these are just examples of course and they look

10:39

different for everyone but the point is what I'm saying

10:41

is that it's a very profound

10:43

experience to slow down

10:46

whenever you feel emotions and instead

10:48

of just reacting to the energy

10:50

of them which is what we do

10:52

a lot of times because we

10:54

kind of we get overwhelmed whenever

10:56

we feel emotions sometimes or at least feel

10:59

a little out of sorts because we're not

11:01

used to feeling that you know

11:03

the intensity that they can bring so

11:06

they can be a little destabilizing

11:11

but whenever we can

11:16

slow down and actually

11:20

feel what they're trying

11:23

to communicate to us allow

11:25

the intensity of those feelings to

11:28

flow through it's kind

11:30

of like a cloud moving

11:32

across the sky then we

11:35

can listen more deeply

11:37

and we can reflect on it and think

11:40

all right like why am I feeling

11:43

this certain thing in

11:46

this context what

11:49

is it what's the deeper wisdom

11:51

that my mind and

11:53

heart and soul and all those

11:56

things are trying to tell

11:58

me what am I missing Why

12:00

am I feeling this right now? Because

12:03

I am trying to tell me something

12:05

for a reason. And

12:09

it's really amazing whenever you unpack

12:11

those things and listen more deeply,

12:15

don't just react to them. You

12:17

can learn so much about your

12:20

subconscious material and

12:22

these deeper things about how

12:25

you're happy in life, how you're

12:27

unhappy, what things are helping

12:30

you move forward, what things are

12:32

preventing you from moving

12:34

forward. And the more

12:36

that you do that, the more that you tune into

12:38

those things, not

12:40

only will you realize that your

12:42

emotions are on your side, they're

12:45

not interruptions, they're

12:48

not opponents, they're things here helping

12:50

you, trying to speak to you

12:52

in just their own unique

12:55

language that's more

12:57

complex than words. But

13:00

you also find that

13:02

as you integrate those things more

13:04

quickly and more consistently, that

13:07

you'll just live a lighter, happier,

13:10

and more in-tuned

13:13

experience of your own life.
