Sean Stephens’ experience in live event lighting as well as an active curiosity in all things 3D, make him a valuable resource and fascinating guest for the Animator’s Guide to Virtual Reality. You’ll never think about lighting animation the old way again!

Sean Stephens

imageGrowing up in Windsor Ontario, Sean was involved in theatre from an early age. Before he could walk he was often found backstage at the local high school musical productions directed by his father, and his favourite songs were often found from musical theatre.

During his school years, he kept involved in Theatre tech, until ultimately graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Theatre Technical Production, from Ryerson University in Toronto.

In 1998 he joined Christie Lites, starting in their Toronto warehouse and eventually becoming a Lead technician and supervisor for both the Rental and Sales departments.

In the years since, through Christie Lites, Sean has worked on lighting for Film, TV, concert and corporate events across North America, for clients such as Intel, TD CanadaTrust, GM. Bands such as Great Big Sea, The Guess Who, The Tragically Hip and Live Television including Wrestlemania, The Juno’s and Much Music Video Awards.
