Each year the Department of Politics and International Relations hosts a lecture given by a distinguished speaker on an aspect of international relations. These events are co-hosted by the US-UK Fulbright Commission, the Embassy of the United States of America, Pembroke College and the Lois Roth Endowment. The talks take their name from former United States Senator J. William Fulbright, founder of one of the most prestigious international education awards programs in the world: the Fulbright Program.
