He started his career running restaurants, which is a surefire way to deal with high stress and anxiety head-on. Michael message is simple - when you make better connections, you do better in business. When it comes to selling, he says the biggest tip is to pick a niche and become an expert. When you work with the people you want to work with, it's less likely to feel like work. Joyce asked Michael about networking because it's something so many of us are intimidated by. Michael dispells the common notion that networking events are set up for you to sell yourself. His advice - don't think about it that way. Just go in and think of it as an opportunity to learn and hopefully have some fun in the process. Networking is about quality over quantity - go to events in your niche, don't paint with a broad brush.
