At the young age of two years old, Christian began making statements to his mother, Cathy Byrd, about his former life as a baseball player.
After initial disbelief, Cathy investigated her son's statements along with his natural predilection for playing baseball and came to the conclusion that Christian was the reincarnation of star baseball player Lou Gehrig, who died tragically of ALS in 1941.
