The truth is that the entire first floor of the structure is under water, and the church is coming up with ways to help the community in the days and weeks to come.
Mike Opelka talks with Genevieve Piturro of the Pajama Project, who for 16 years has been collecting and distributing pajamas and a book to children without. They have focused on the foster child population, but in the midst of the Hurricane Harvey tragedy, she is collecting for kids displaced by the storm – in shelters without the comfort and softness of home.
