I love Dax' passion, curiousity and honesty ?

My favourite podcast these days. I enjoy the long-form interviews with the guests and how open Dax is about his own issues. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Monica and sometimes the fact check segment ends up just being an off-topic conversation between them, however, it is usually my go-to pick when I just want to listen to something I know I will enjoy no matter who the guest is.

I love the conversations in the attic. They aren't your typical rabble you see on talk shows. They are genuine conversations which breaks down any pre-conceived notions about the guests and reveals them to be regular flawed human beings like everyone else. Plus, listening to this pod has made me want to hang out with Dax sometime.

Love this podcast. It's my break from my true crime list. Dax is funny and genuine. He's so authentic and unapologetic and I find it refreshing. I always develop a new appreciation for the guests he has on the show too, and often learn something along the way. Thanks for giving me a break from the crazy that has been 2020. :)

Almost perfect! I'm a habitual listener and never miss an episode.I love the dynamic between hosts Dax and Monica. Their interviews are often insightful and always manage to manage to draw some laughs. Dax is very open about his own shortcomings and his past which invites the guests to be reflective as well. My only peeve is that after multiple seasons the same few topics are being touched on; based entirely on the information that Dax exposes about himself. I would love for them to change up the route which the interview seems to take each time.

Overall I enjoy this show. There are some really entertaining interviews for sure. Maybe not the most insightful, but great when you're a fan of the guest

Based on cherry picking 3 episodes. This podcast is quite appealing. Shepard asks insightful questions and has access to relatively high level guests. The guests are interesting but generally come with a plug, which is excusable because the price they pay is a behind-the-scenes look at their life, thinking and methodology. Lacking a star since I wish the cohost had more contributions and the fact check segment is unbearably kitsch.4/5 aa references

Progressively getting worse. Which is really bugging me cause I don't think I've missed an episode in 2 years. Monica has run her course with me though as I am so tired of hearing about how bad the Republicans are and now she's trying to tell me how they think... Fact checks are the worst part of the shows as there are NO FACTS and crap dialog. 3 stars for the great interviews but the rest of this show is unfortunately dragging. I am not one side of the aisle vs the other but Monica clearly is and I'm tired of her one sided debates

I just wanted to write a quick review just to give my personal perspective. Hopefully in the case that Dax and Monica do read this(likely not), it's just simply my humble opinion and just some constructive criticism. I have been a LONG time listener of the show but I'm finding as time goes on, I am struggling to stay engaged with this podcast. I feel like the more this podcast goes on, it feels like EVERY interview is just a "dynamic vocabulary" gymnastics session with the guest and Dax it's becoming exhausting to listen to. I miss the days of just an interesting interview and getting to know the guest, it just now feels like a competition on who has the "smartest" and "right" perspective on any of the topics discussed during the interview. And again, it's washed down with a bunch of elite grammar that I find myself often saying to myself while listening "For the love of god, please just get to the point". Please understand, I love intellectual conversations just like anyone else, but it just feels like there is a bit of a "I need to prove that I am the smartest person in the room" syndrome happening lately. Eek, so sorry but I am just being honest and I have always been a fan so please know I am just speaking from the heart.I will say, with any TV show, radio show, etc. there is always an evolution that happens as time goes on so of course, this show is morphing as it's growing so I do understand that. Again, just my two cents, I think sometimes taking a revisit and going back to the basics sometimes can be a good thing as I do fear that if this podcast continues on this path, they are likely to lose a large majority of their listeners. But hey, hat's off to you as I have no idea what it takes to make a podcast and I'm sure it's extremely difficult so congrats on all of your success.

I used to enjoy this podcast, but now Monica is even more annoying...ding ding ding and talking nonsense, no more fact check just boring, pointless dialogue and the occasional wikipedia check, I just can't listen. Sorry, Dax

I absolutely love Flightless Bird but I hate that they release it on this conglomerate feed instead of it's own. I'm not interested in all Armchair Expert properties so it's obnoxious.
