#039 - Niko Pal | Intention-based Coaching

Released Wednesday, 8th July 2020
Good episode? Give it some love!
A teacher sometimes coaches, and a coach sometimes teaches, but their intention and approach typically vary. The SPARK, "Intention-based Coaching" explores the terms we used to define ourselves, and the ways we engage with our students. Join the discussion as Niko seeks what it means to foster movement with intention. We’ll look into the tools different educators use, and the types of outcomes for which they are good. He will begin to dive into helping us explore our own identities with the intention to grow us as educators and mentors.

Niko Pal is the Head Coach at Forge Parkour in Portland, OR, USA. He started Parkour in 2010, began teaching in 2012 and has made it his career ever since. Niko earned his B.S. from Portland State University in 2015, where he dual majored in Public Health and Exercise Science. Niko continued his education at Transformation Studio, a Specialty Holistic Biomechanics studio. There he learned about how the many systems of the human body work together to create function. In his down time he can be found adventuring with friends, playing Rocket League, or tapping around on a piano.
