We’re making a change to our programming. We fully support the Black Lives Matter movement and are revolted and enraged by the abuse of power by police on a global scale. We have not been active enough in seeking out Black artists and arts professionals for the podcast and we’re currently going to focus on this.
This week we're looking at work by Carlos Martiel, Ekow Nimako, Sammie Z Ngwenya, Adeyemi Michael, Rosa-Johan Uddoh, and Emily Mulenga.
During our research, we have collated a list of arts, creative, and community organisations all over the world, that all either show support to Black people, were founded by Black people, or have Black people at the top of their workforce. This list is by no means exhaustive, it’s a starting point, and is intended as a resource for people to find out more, to find Black artists, Black arts professionals, and Black community organisations to follow and support.
