Debates are pointless nowadays. They don't influence polls long-term, and they don't allow candidates much time for detailing their plans. What was once a useful way to connect with voters has become political theater. We have more effective ways to get to know the candidates. Bernie going on Fox News for his town hall or onto the Joe Rogan podcast has helped him more than any of the debates. So, in regard to the September Presidential Debate on ABC, did Bernie do well? Yes. Did anything really change? No.
