Cybersecurity is a rapidly changing and ever-evolving landscape. There are endless ways an individual or group can be taken advantage of, and the best way to protect oneself against these threats is to practice responding to new risks and attacks and to prepare for a range of situations. That is why last year, Sasakawa USA in cooperation with Keio University held “Operation Rugby Daemon,” a tabletop exercise that simulated a major cyberattack during the 2019 Rugby World Cup.In this episode of Asia on Air, Lin Wells II and Rick Ledgett, two participants of the Operation Rugby Daemon exercise, stopped by to share with us their responses to the tabletop exercise as well as their thoughts on how the cybersecurity community is poised to deal with threats such as phishing e-mails and state sponsored cyberattacks.
