• After the second person tried to take my life directly, I found myself in a place of contemplation, sitting out behind my house thinking through all the things in my mind. When I came to I realised that there was no magic apology that was going to take it all away, there was no government agency or person that was going to come and save me, if I wanted something different from it had to be up to me.

In that situation you are there to learn a lesson and when you did not learn the lesson you got the opportunity to again learn that lesson. It could be about having boundaries with yourself, enforcing your self-worth, realising that you’re worth fighting for, once you learn that lesson those people won’t be attracted to you anymore because that can’t be because you’re not letting them be attractive to you.
• Get rid of relationships that no longer serve you, I don’t care if they’ve been your friend since second grade, I don’t care if it’s a family member, no amount of shared history or DNA gives anyone the right to treat you poorly. A lot of the time, the person we see in the mirror everyday needs to be held accountable for their shit.
• “Thank you” is a complete sentence and all you need to say. You don’t have to qualify good, bad or otherwise, get rid of those qualifying words like “I love them, they’re really nice”, nice means you’re unremarkable and nobody is going to remember you. “I’m just going out to have dinner with my family”, just going out to have dinner with the people that you love the most? Get rid of those words that discount you as a person.
