Yael Averbuch is a professional soccer player and has been a member of the US National Soccer Team. In college at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill - Yael captured 2 NCAA championships and set a NCAA record with 105 consecutive starts. She also holds the record for the fastest goal ever scored in women's collegiate soccer game.

She has played for professional teams in Russia, Sweden and Cyprus. She announced on November 7 that next season she will be playing for FC Kansas City - the reigning champions of the women’s professional soccer league.
