We've all heard of "A League of Their Own" and "No Crying in Baseball," but did you know that women have been involved in baseball since its beginning? While women are and always have been baseball players, owners, coaches, umpires, and fans, after over 150 years women still face barriers in every level of organized baseball. Every year, thousands of girls join Little League teams, but then age out and don't find anywhere else to play. Thousands more don't join Little League in the first place because they don't know baseball is an option for girls.On this podcast, we're exploring the past and present of girls and women's baseball and talking to players, historians, and baseball pioneers. We're also encouraging our listeners to join the growing movement for the future of girls' and women's baseball, ensuring there will always be a place for young girls who want to play.
