A young orphan, called Stephen arrives at Aswarby Hall, the country estate of his elderly uncle, Mr Abney. His uncle is known to have previously taken in other disadvantaged children, but they never stayed for long. 

A few months after his arrival, Stephen begins to experience some inexplicable and disturbing events, did the other children leave, or did something more sinister happen to them?
