Hazardous Weather Outlook. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas. Day one. Today And Tonight. A few thunderstorms are forecast along and east of Highway 281 today, and scattered thunderstorms are expected to move into Central Texas and northern Hill Country from the north late tonight. The stronger storms will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph, small hail, and heavy downpours. Elevated heat indices are forecast for this afternoon with most of South-Central Texas expected to see values between 102 and 108 degrees. Days two through seven. Monday through Saturday. Monday into monday night there is a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats, but locally heavy downpours of 1 to 2 inches will also be possible. Elevated heat indices of 102 to 108 degrees are expected over the Rio Grande Plains Monday afternoon. Spotter information statement. Spotter activation is not anticipated.
