After over 4 months, professional sports are finally set to return as the MLB season begins tonight. This 60-game "sprint" will start off with the beginning of the Gerrit Cole era in New York, as the Yankees will take on the defending World Series champion Washington Nationals. Speaking of new beginnings, the second game will feature the debut of superstar outfielder Mookie Betts, as the Dodgers will take on their in-state division rival San Francisco Giants. Betts recently signed a huge extension that will keep him in a Dodger uniform for the foreseeable future. We will talk about this massive contract and how it could set the stage for some other big name players to get paid down the line.
