Pastor Wendy Perez is coming Backstage this week to talk to Jamie about why she is such an advocate for women in leadership, and women in general! She recounts moments as a young girl being taught things in school about women that didn’t compute for her and how she broke out of the intended psychology that women are just meant for “marriage and mothering”. She talks about things you normally won’t get to hear from her on the a pulpit; college stories, her volunteer work, meeting her husband, how he champions her and the things her parents did to foster the call of God in her. This isn’t a angsty discussion (we actually cut out 6:57 of them laughing because they were out of control lol!) but we do believe it will encourage women that they are meant for a whole lot more than the world might have told them.
