Hello Lovelies! Welcome back to Bad Bookclub, with your favorite book worm Jade!
In this episode, Jade summarizes and explains the literary movement, themes, and more of Fahrenheit 451!

In this book, Guy Montag is a "fireman" who burns down houses and books in a futuristic society on the brink of nuclear war. Montag is happy being unhappy until one day he comes home from work and meets a young girl named Clarisse, and realizes his wife has tried to take her own life.  He then steals an illegal book from one of his alarms and finds himself buried in a hot mess of emotion, rebellion, and knowledge.

Jade has a great time discussing Bradbury's writing process, the book itself, and Guy Montag, who she describes as a wax figure who starts to come alive and think for himself.
She also has a great time discussing seashells, the beat generation, and what this book is actually about, including Ray Bradbury's problematic opinions on censorship.
In the analysis, she also discusses why she thinks the classics are still worth reading, even with their offensive histories.

Thank you for listening lovelies!
