As the host and editor of another Pathfinder podcast, I have to sit in awe of how good these folks are. This is one of the most enjoyable listens in the Actual Play space.
I love how this show focuses on the characters and storytelling. (Team Iria for me! ^^) It's done so well that I sometimes forget it's all live gaming! Definitely one of my favorites!
I may not know much about Pathfinder but I do know that I love this show!! Everything from the world to the characters to the players themselves had me hooked within the first episode. I am a big fan of going with the rule of cool, both as a DM and as a player, and I enjoy how the rule is used to craft an even cooler story. While I may not know the true end goal behind the quest they have been sent on, I do know that I will be with this party until the end!
This is TTRPG actual play worth listening to! The players are engrossed in a whimsical tale told by an expert GM, everybody's having a good time, and the editing/sound make it both easy and delightful to follow.
I love this podcast. Aside from the nonbinary host, I am also excited by how well-formed all the character are! Excellent narrative-heavy roleplaying.
Lycans, Vampires, and Ghouls, oh my!I have not had the pleasure until now of hearing a good party start off in an evil city and work for an evil Queen and I am finding it is a great plot hook! Instead of your heroes starting off trying to do right they are forced into the quest through fear. The story kicks off very quickly getting the party into the thick of it. Everyone is great at staying in character and there is enough goofs here and there to keep it a bit light hearted to help balance the dark elements. The DM does a great job having the NPCs feel fleshed out with good personalities that let them strongly stand out in the story while the party takes no time at all to immerse themselves with what is going on. The bardic spells are also a really nice touch, I love the idea of each spell having its own unique incantation! If you're looking for a Pathfinder actual play with some good and solid story and fun characters, you need to check this out right away!
This podcast is fun, funny, creative, exciting, fast-paced...what more could you want? Top notch voices for PCs and NPCs, great editing, you just gotta give it a try.
I like the fact that the audio quality is actually great and the cast (Mainly the guy with the manlyest voice ever xD) is great!
It took me way too long to write this and I regret it, because Bad Heroes has been one of my favorites since I first listened to them. This is a Pathfinder Actual Play podcast that manages in an admirable way to strike the balance between table atmosphere, including tons of shenanigans and jokes, with top notch roleplay. If you like story based AP podcasts that can be both funny and serious, these guys have it down. When the moment comes for some serious roleplay, everyone is ready to let the scene unravel in all its dramatic gravitas, but there is a lot of comedy in it, too. I can't recommend Bad Heroes enough, as they give the audience a beautiful combination of the best things TTRPG APs can offer.
